Does anyone know of a similar chemical that has GHB-like effects? Anymore GHB is not only hard to come by, but also dirty, dangerous and carries really bad "date rape" connotations. Anyway, wondered if anyone maybe knew of something that I hadn't heard of.

Do a search for the precursor of what the receipe yields and you have found the receipe's main base ingredient and where to get it. It's not triginomentry or rocket science.

Yes, it was a joke. But I've gotta say you clearly have no idea about the penalty/heavy HEAVY restrictions on ordering, possessing or manufacturing GHB or its precursors. GHB is a schedule I drug in the USA. AAS are schedule III. Ordering GBL (precursor easily converted to GHB. Also schedule I), which can only be done from foreign countries, is a ridiculous risk. If it is found, and it is 90% likely that it will be, they don't just send a seisure letter. They come and press serious fucking charges. Period. Thats why the thread was asking for a GHB SUBSTITUTE, not "can anyone tell me where to get GHB?" or "anyone know how to google search for a recipe?" Anyway, I got some input that I was looking for, as well as a good laugh at the shit show that this thread turned into, so thanks to all.

Posession of GBL is a "Grey" area as far as law enforcement is concerned. Basically, if you as a regular person order it in the USA (It's a "Watched" chemical, like saffrowler oil (to make Ecstacy pills) is) or possess it, you can immediatly be investagated for making GHB - gamma hydroxybutyric - cause the police, feds and DEA know exactly what GBL is used for when possessed by an individual. Sooo, according to my buddy who did 2 years in the clink in NJ for making GHB and selling juice, he said that even if you have no GBL or GHB in your house at the time of a raid, also make sure you have no "Residue" on any bowls or beakers you used to make the GHB. If your smart you wil order GBL from outside of the USA so that you are not on a "watched" list, but, as anything goes when ordering stuff that goes thru customs, something else may happend to you if customs gets involved. One more thing about package carriers in the USA. My other buddy ordered GBL from another country. He was sent two litres of it. Well, one complete litre leaked out of the bottle, thru the box and got all over the employee handling the package at the distribution facility in a state thats next to Pennsylavania. THe carriers colors are red any yellow. Anyway, they called my buddy up and wanted to know exactly what was in the unlabled bottle from another country. THey also were worried about the employee that it got all over so they demanded an "MSDS" sheet on the liquid.
