I'm wondering if anyone still uses GHB anymore. What are the + and - or using it (I do NOT want this to turn into a thread about daterape, please, keep it relevant to bodybuilding). Are there legal products that give similar boosts in growth hormones and make you feel relaxed and sleep? Let me know your thoughts, maybe this is a stupid thread.
 
It's too addictive. When it was legal , I bought it at GNC as a sleeping aid; but as the years went on, I had friends almost nearly kill themselves after taking GHB. From driving accidents, to falling down the stairs, to other harder problems. Some couldn't get off the drug at all.

Yes, I was addicted for at least 3 years. It got to where I needed it to function and sleep normal without the high. I am kind of glad they made it illegal, even though I loved it for lifting and sleep.

I am glad it was made illegal too. A lot of my friends who were addicted to it had to get off at some point due to lack of supply.

When lactone became illegal, I switched to 1,4B but it lasted an hour longer and made me groggy when I woke up.

By that time I just went to detox, but I had to tell the doctor how to treat it with a Texas medical web site about G withdrawal. Before this I watched my bro go nuts in an emergency room. Beat up the whole staff and does not remember.
 
It's still available in liquid form on the black market. The most dangerous part of GHB these days is the difference in potencies. It can easily be cut with water-so you either get ripped off or inadvertently take too large of a dose. I heard there's some nasty federal charge for possession in the USA-like mandatory 10 yrs in prison or something? Anyway, I don't think it's all that great when you consider the risks involved using it. I used to fall asleep standing up on it. I know many that end up in the hospital from it. An experienced, responsible, recreational drug user(if there's such a thing?) will do better with GHB than your avg joe. It's not something for the light partier to mess with. The GH releasing properties aren't anything special imnsho. I prefer cannabis as a sleep aid any day. For date rape, Rohypnol reigns supreme. lol

Everytime someone even mentions that shit my mind & body want to slip into a coma . . . I don't know of anything thats available OTC that even comes close. Probably some narcotics that could help you relax/sleep like Xanax.

you know whats funny....i was just thinking about this and was going to post a thread for advise....anyways yes its comming back,my boy called me today and he has a hok up on it...his exact words were "this is the best g i have ever had,wow is it potent"now i was thinking about using it for work out purposes,i have never done it and i heard it was the best stuff to work out with...but i also read that it releases more natural gh...i am on growth so i guess i just answered my own question kinda...lol
 
I dont see how you could work out with it? I do think it is the best sleep aid there is, but there have been too many reports of people becoming addicted. I occasionally used it to get to sleep early, if I needed to be up early the next day, or if I had trained late, and was still wired from the gym, but I could take it or leave it.
 
I have spoke on this subject many times in the past, this is the only substance i can say i have ever been "addicted" to. I won't go into a huge spill on this shit, but it almost cost me my life more than once. It started out as a sleep aid and i thought i was using it for bodybuilding, 4 years later i was using it to get through the day, and it just went on from there. I could write a 5 page post on this shit....i used to say if used smart its not a bad drug...WRONG......this shit needs to be illegal and for good reason. I still remember the sleepless nights during my withdrawal as if they were yesterday, nothing and i say it again...nothing has ever been harder for me to do than kick this shit

I think that has got to be the line between sleep aid and rec drug, if you are using it then staying awake, you are on dangerous ground.

I have had similar experiences.
After nearly going to jail for 7 years because I let someone have some I finally woke up and moved on.
If you let someone have some it is that same exact thing as selling heroin. I found that one out the hard way!!!

Somehow people just go nuts on it. This just shows you that OTC products aren't always safe, even with these crazy government regulations. I remember when I was buying pure powder GHB at GNC lol

it can be dangerous but i only use it when i can not sleep. which is every blue moon. i am not one of those who uses to go out on, i think that is plain dumb. other than that i think its a great sleep aid if used right.

For me, I had to take more and more over time for it to be an effective sleeping aid.

lmfao i had an ex gf that would get into mine back in the day (which was a wednesday) and she was real shy sober, but would turn into a stripper within 2 minutes of downin a cap o g,, FREAKayyyy, and fuck like i owed her money till she would pass out. *sigh* good times

No drugs necessary for her. I did stuff to her you wouldn't do to a farm animal and she loved it-or at least she was good at pretending she did. She had to keep big papa happy or I'd cut off her bi-weekly purchases of $300+ pairs of shoes. Maybe I should become a mortician? Those guys get a ton of free ass on ice. :p
 
I took that shit on and off between 97-99. I took it every fucking day during a 4 month period. When it hit good, it was the best high. when it hit bad, There were too many dangerous incidents that happened to me to mention here. A close friend committed suicide while on it. Another close friend got arrested for it, and lost his $200,000 a year job and his marraige over it! That was it for me. Its nasty fucking shit. I hope no one goes on it. Are people still using it regularly?
 
I used gbl when i could get it and to me it was used to chill out I never had a problem with passing out or anyhting dangerous. Now I just have to resort to alcohol which is really pisses me off with calories reduced test and hangovers. Yeah I can be sober but life get real boring after a while especially with a social anxiety type I am.

The last time I used GHB was many years ago in the spring. It was about noon, 80 degrees and perfect for laying by the pool. I took a hefty dose of GHB and walked out to the pool. I tested the water with my toes and it was freezing cold-probably cuz it was only 50 degrees the night before. Anyway, I'm standing there waiting for it to kick in before I lay down. Next thing ya know I'm falling in the pool. I woke up just as I hit the water. I'm surprised the cold water didn't give me a heart attack. In retrospect, I'm lucky I didn't hit my head somewhere on my way down or on the pool bottom cuz I could've been knocked out/drowned. That experience was enough for me to say no more.

I had the same type of situation happen when I used it as a sleeping aid. I took it before bed, wen to the bathroom, next thing I know I am on the floor my head is bleeding. I fainted/passed out, hit my head on the counter.
 
Cialis and Viagra have nothing on G. G is like viagra for the brain, body, and soul. It brings the freak out. However, I too am glad that it is no longer availible like used to be. The shit will get you in trouble. It's just too good for everything: Sleep, sex, appetite, anxiety, day to day shit, etc. The biggest side effect is going to jail for a very long time.
 
scariest thing on that stuff is when you feel the kick and then the base.....then its lights out! too many emergency room visits for that stuff. gbl was easier to handle for me. thank God its illegal.
 
Yeah man it can be fuckin good when you use it, but there is a fine line between havin a good time on it and losin it altogether. Another problem is overdoseing on it, if you do it can be fatal and its so easy to, it stops you breathing in your sleep. My mate od'd on it, passed out while drivin and woke up the next day in hospital, hes lucky to be alive. Leave it alone.

I know a guy who made G with some type of solvent, probably glue remover like your boys. That shit would actually melt the bottle and he was drinking it.

GBL+NAoH....Gamma Butrylactone and Sodium Hydroxide....GBL was sold as nail enamel remover and glue remover as a front for websites to sell it to GHB makers...remember operation gear grinder....well they had one for GHB too...operation webslinger

When I was a young buck about 4-5 years ago, I used to drink a soda cap of G before entering the club. It was awesome stuff, but too many of my friends abused it. Some would pass out and puke cause they'd take too much. The margin of error is very small with G. Taking just a little too much can lead to a really bad night.

Is an RX sleep aid on the market potent enough to literally knock you out on your feet like that(w/o combining w/ alcohol)? It's almost like taking a whiff of chloroform.

BTW-ghb only has 3 ingredients and is easier to make than cookies from scratch. You can cook up a decent batch in under an hour. Production cost is around $10 gal. Retail mark up is huge. Plenty of cash to be made in the club/gym scene-but the liability involved will get you put in jail quick. If someone dies from it I wonder if yopu could be charged w/manslaughter too?

GHB IS ONLY TWO CHEMICALS....GBL and NaOH....it can be made in less than 5 minutes with only a set of scales and a measuring beaker......and if someone dies from it and they prove you sold it to them you can be charged with 2nd degree murder...i've seen it happen

All of the above happened to me.The pool, the driving(although I woke up just as I drove off the roadway into a ditch), the friend beating everyone up in the emergency room, and yes, the NUMEROUS times I passed out and woke up on the bathroom floor. How about waking up to all the smoke in my house from burning food on the stove? Anyone? I always got the munchies on it. Looking back, none of it was worth it.

Maybe i was including activated charcoal? and don't you need to bake off the bad stuff in the oven? That's why I said under an hr.

LOL, another experienced cook...LOL agreed on the charcoal, but it isn't a necessity!!!! I know that most guys that were making it and selling it are/were just making it in a few minutes, they didn't go through any such processes as "some users" might have for their personal ingestion...lol

But, anyways, shit is bad news

Man, I could fill up this board with all my GHB stories..... I was addicted to that stuff for over 5yrs..... It cost me my job, my wife, my families respect..... I went to Rehab 2 times for it, went through countless withdrawls where I needed to be medicated, it's bad stuff IMO..... However, I know there are guys out there that can use the stuff in a responsible way.... That's the weird part..... I just loved the way it made me more talkative, lowered my inhibitions, made me happy, it was great.... So I began using it all day every day, and would use a double dose for sleeping time...... If you do the math, you'll see that I NEVER came off the stuff.... When I did try to come off, I went through a withdrawl that makes herion withdrawl look like a walk in the park.... Ok, I'm exaggerating there, but the withdrawl was wicked as hell man..... I'm glad it is illegal too, cause I know I'd be dead by now..... Had many car accidents, bathroom falls, ER visits, waking up on a ventilator with a Foley Cath in my dick..... It wasn't fun.....

That shit is hysterical! I've had the same exact situation go on. I've done it a rack load of times. I never felt any "need" to do it the next day. I have wanted to take more to extend the length of time I had the feeling, but I never really felt a withdrawal a day after stopping- even after a daily basis. Stuff is crazy tho! I had to perform cpr on an X-girl (same whore from above) after she od'd on G and meth. Thank god I got away from that crew! They were on a quick road to nowhere!

well dextro=dxm=cough syrup is otc, and that shit blows g away. really different highs in a sense but dxm will take you places youve never been before. lol.

but yea, g is no worse than any other drug as far as im concerned, quite harmless if you ask me.

.....but ofcourse everyone is referring to idots who abuse shit. NO drug is good or safe if abused. hate to be blunt about it.

if g is done right, no harm. you have to be an addictive type person to let g destroy your life. im mean really at the proper dosages, its barely compares to ambien.

ambien will at least give you some cool visions and very relaxed state, at 10mg, close to half of a x.

whereas a small dose of g will make you 'float'.

i take g whenever, sometimes to party and sometimes to sleep.

one thing ive learned, if you wanna be knocked out within 5min take a very small shot of g and an ambien.

This thread should probably be closed/locked.....this shit is about as bad as nubain in my oppinion.....everyone has their own oppinions and yes i got addicted to it and i don't consider myself to have an addictive personality, the shit snuck up on me in a period of years.....I too used to feel it was relatively safe drug if used in smartly and correctly,,,,but i have changed my oppinion on that now.

i think it should be locked, cause nothing good can come from it,, smart bros already stay away from the shit, DUMB bros and newbies might be curious and go on a buzz search, find some jackass in a club sellin it, and end up in the hospital, jail, or morgue...
