This was a post I originally read a few weeks ago. I forget who posted it but it is some great info.
Here are the products I use. These are all over the counter.
Nuetragena antibacterial scrub (soap with salycic acid)
Nuetragena Clear cream (this is a moisturizing cream with 2.5% salycic acid)
Nuetragena scrub pads (like stridex pads - has alcohol and salycic acid)
Nuetragena benzoil peroxide cream (this is a small tube that contains benzoil
peroxide)
1 scrub brush with handle to reach the back
O.K. I do this twice a day - in the morning when I wake up and in the evening
when I get back from the gym
1) -Use the antibacterial scrub in the shower to scrub down your shoulders,
chest, and back using the special scrub brush.
2) - Dry off and use the scrub pads on your shoulders back and chest. You
will see that even though you cleaned and scrubbed your back in the shower
that these pads still end up with a film of dirt and oil on them. They
pull the oil and dirt right out of the skin. Let that dry
3) -Apply a generous portion of the moisturizing lotion with the salycic
acid to back , shoulders and chest. Let dry
4) - Now the benzoil peroxide cream is used in a 2 step process. Apply
it to where you are breaking out and rub into the skin so it gets absorbed.
Then put spots of it on the deep pimples and let it dry right on the direct
area. This stuff works amazing at pulling these deep zits to the surface
within 1 to 2 days rather than the 2-3 weeks they usually take.
This process takes about 5 minutes and it has been well worth it. You will
need a willing partner to do the back though. Hope your girlfriend isn't
afraid of acne, my wife doesn't mind so I am lucky (she even likes popping
the things - weird)
The moisturizing cream really helps prevent future breakouts and lessens
it to a huge degree, the benzoil cream helps kill the existing acne much
quicker than usual, but you must apply a big dab directly on the zit and
just let it dry there.
I also tan 3 days a week to help dry my skin a little more. It helps blend
the scarring and makes the existing acne less noticeable. This is what
I have been doing and it has been working great. If you try this out make
sure not to skip a day. It will start to look better and you will think
it's gone but all it takes is one day and it will start flaring up and new
acne will develop. If you don't have anyone to do your back try this on
your chest and shoulders for 2 weeks and see if it helps clear it up
