Getting pregnant and steroids...

I have been think of starting a family, but I do have a concern that I hope you guys can help me with.
I have been on birth control for 10 years, according to my doctor I should wait for 6 months after I stop taking BC to get pregnant to insure healthy pregnancy etc.
What about steroids? I'm just about to finish my 2nd cycle of primabolen and was wondering how long should I wait b4 getting pregnant. Also will me being on prima will make getting pregnant more difficult?

As long as possible, 6 months off would be a good starting point.

and yes, AAS may alter the menstrual cycle, but may not alter ovulation. Thus, pregnancy is still possible while on a cycle which is bad news for a female fetus.

Just a quick quote from Anabolics 2000, page 13, Section on Steriod Side Defects -

Birth Defects:
Anabolic/androgenic steroids can have a very pronounced impact on the development of an unborn fetus. Adrenal Genital Syndrome in particular is a very disturbing occurrence, in which a female fetus can develop male-like reproductive organs. Women who are, or plan to become pregnant soon, should never consider the use of anabolic steroids. it would also be the best advice to stay away from these drugs completely for a number of months prior to attempting the conception of a child, so as to ensure the mother has a normal hormonal chemistry. Although anabolic/androgenic steroids can reduce sperm count and male fertility, they are not linked to birth defects when taken by someone fathering a child.

I agree: at least six months. Hormones take a while to come back in balance (speaking as someone who's had a couple of kids).

there was about 5 1/2 months between my cycle and my daughter's conception... i was on a light cycle of anavar (10mg)....

my daughter is now 9m and gorgeous and healthy...

but as W6 said, the longer the better... especially if the drug has a long half-life, (which ana doesn't really)
