Getting Breast Augmentation in a week

PowerPrincess

New member
Hey Everyone,

I'm so excited, I have breast augmentation sugery in a week :)
What I'd like to know is from the ladies who have had this surgeyr and the men whose wifes and s/o's have had this surgery - are there any special things or actions i should take before and after the surgery. Any ideas on what i can do to prevent excess weight gain while working out is not allowed and then later limited??? Any special tricks you guys had when having this surgery - i'd really appreciate!!! :D
Thanks for your help!!!!

i didnt do much to prepare, except i had my friend stay with me at my place for a while after. i made sure i had someone to help me out and stuff, its kinda hard to move around, from the pain and also ur scared lol

i almost passed out in the shower when i first saw them after taking the bandages off, just be sure u have someone to help u out and be careful really

best of luck girl with ur new tattas :)

oh ya i got a script for antibiotics before my surgery i think, continuing them after (cant really remember) something to do with preventing infections...ask ur doc

I had my surgery July 26. I went under the muscle and under the arm pit, 425cc each. I had very, very little soreness afterwards. He did a wonderful job. I ate lots of jello just because that's all I wanted. I am just being unpatient now because one of my breast has not dropped like the other one and to me they look funny and it's driving me NUTS!!!!!!!!!:bawling: My boyfriend was very helpful.. And a tip from me: I put everything I needed on the table next to me. I found it more comfortable to sleep in the recliner attached to me couch... It is hell trying to get out of the bed and plus sleeping flat was uncomfortable for me.. But wherever you decide to sleep make sure someone is there to help you up. I was stubborn and tried to do it myself and was shocked at how much you use those muscles to get up..
GOOD LUCK!!!!:D

Has anybody experienced the uneven dropping of the breast? My doctor said it is the skin that needs to stretch a little more and that the one stretched faster that the other... He said to massage and in two months they will look the same.. He promised... Any info on this??????

What method of entry are you using? also how big are you now? And how many cc’s are you getting? Over or under the muscle?

A girlfriend of mine just got hers done like 3 weeks ago, threw the belly button, and OVER the muscle…her stomach swelled up and still isnt totally back to normal..her boobs are swolen like I cant describe..i still cant apply much pressure at all if I touch them as they are still feeling black and blue….she was feelling like shit for a few days..shes better now..but she is still sore…she got around 400cc and I think she was a small C before she got the surgery now shes a FULL D. She took Tylenol and codene I think but it made her feel like shit…you are going to notice even the slightest move is gonna hurt…you will realize how many every day activities you do that will hurt…anywhere from reaching to get a dish out of the cabinet to trying to bend over and tie your shoes.

Where are you getting this done? upstate by you or closer down to NYC?

Wohoo! 1 week!

First, if you haven't already, check www.implantinfo.com - there should be a prep list of things to do before the surgery. Some hi lights I recall are:

- set up a comfortable place to sit & sleep for the next few days - you will be in pain & getting up & sitting down suck. Climbing stairs is a bitch. I ended up sleepign in a recliner chair for a few days because it hurt too much to lay back & then get up again.

- Get a few bags of frozen peas - these work GREAT as "ice packs" to help w/ the swelling.

- If you dont' have anyone in the house to help you at all times, move some of the things you need down to lower shelves until your doc says you can lift your arms higher. For me this included my dishes & dry food in my kitchen, my toothbrush & contact solution in the bathroom.

- If you can help it, don't drive for a while -- a few days - turning around to check your blind spot hurts like mofo.

- Expect to bloat a little from the antibiotics - they suggested lots of water & use of fiber to help w/ that. It passes tho.

- Depending on how long and how many of the painkillers you use (vicadins , etc), you might experience a small depression when you get all the painkiller out of your system -- for ex, I was on vicadins for 4 days post op, then a week later I hit a nice week long depression. It passes, so not a big deal. But mentally you might want to be prepared for it so you dont' turn to food because you arent' sure why you are so bummed out.

- After the first few days you might want to find someone who can give you a good back massage - you will prob be sore from sitting for a day or two and you can't lay down for a massage (chest down) so a nice massage is awesome!

- Be patient waiting to get the bandages, etc. off. The best day of your life is when you get to go bra shopping for those D's & DD's!

As far as avoiding weight gain & training -- check w/ your doc about what he says for training -- I actually began training for a bb show 3 months after I got the surgery. And just listen to your body. If it hurts, dont' do it. It will probably take you alittle longer to get back to chest training. And also all of a sudden you realize you need better "support" when u do cardio....! Its worth it to get the good sports tops/bras. While you are waiting to get back in the gym, just dont' eat alot. Keep your diet clean & consistent and you should be just fine. And don't freak with the bloat post-op -- just expect it, be patient & it will go away.

I had "unders" done, so my experience w/ recovery was prob more painful & longer than would be for someone who got "overs". What are you getting? If "unders" , then you will probably have less trouble and not have to go thru some of the above stuff. I also took a week off of work to recover.

What size were you before and what size did 425cc's make you??? Did your doc overfill???

As far as the dropping of the boobs - here's a website, go down to the bottom for the message boards - has sooo many posts all pertaining to your new boobs :)

www.breastimplants4you.com

Thanks for the jello idea.

I am doing it the TUBA way - through the belly button for no scars :) I'm getting 425cc's overfilled and over the muscle b/c i have breast tissue already, hopefully it'll make me near a D cup - I'll be thrilled :) .

I am getting it done in NYC - Dr. Grossman, plus classes end for me on friday - so i'll have 2 1/2 weeks to heel some before I have to go back upstate to college

THANKS FOR ALL THOSE GREAT TIPS SASSY69!!!!!!!!! :D

How much fiber do you think i should take daily and how much water should i ingest???

I'm going over the muscle, so hopefully it won't be as painful as some have described. Plus i have an extremely high tolerance for pain :)

Also, how bad is the water bloat?????

I can't wait to go bra shopping - my boyfriend already told me he's taking me to victoria secret to get a "nice" little outfit after the operation :)

Also, my doc told me that i can begin weights and cardio as early as 2 weeks after the surgery but chest exercises have to wait 3 months for proper heeling.

Question - did your doc tell you that you couldn't wear a bra for 3-4 weeks after the surgery - cause mine did - and I feel like that's gonna be a little odd - sitting bra less in class while wearing tight clothes - ya know!!

power princess: I was a 34 c before and that was wearing a padded bra because my breast were not perky before.. and now i think i am a 36d.. i haven't wore a bra yet...
what is overfill??

my doctor told me not to wear a bra for two months. but i am under the muscle and it really didn't hurt at all... he said the idea is to let the implant drop and if you wear a wire bra then you will be pushing it up... thanks for the website

Overfilling is when the doctor over inflates the implant with more saliene - lets say for example for a 425cc implant overfilled to 460cc THis prevents rippling.

Really 2 months with no bra - for the drop wow - how did you do cardio - did you wear a sports bra temporarily???

By the way you're welcome for the website - my name on there is Brooke with a number - i don't remember the number though - hahah - going senile young :)

lol no shit? thats where my girl went.

Well shes not my girlfriend...just a girl ive dated on and off for 2 yrs...my girl is a boxer..she has no time to be taking off trying to recover from a boob job lol

ok back to my female "friend" .....shes a 36c i think b4 now shes a 36 FULL D..i also think the Dr overfilled the implant...was like 400cc..i told her thats about right for her body...otherwise theyd look stupid....put it this way....we went clubbing last week...she came out of her house with her hair done different and had these massive boobs all pushed up and showing in her belly shirt...so I am like "holy shit..whos this hotty" she comes close..im like OMG its you...(the funny part is she got madd at me..as if i was staring at some other chic..um how can she get mad? lol )

its amazing how much different she looks with boobs...and the stares from guys/girls outside the club OMG lol...for once she is getting more stares than me...and shes rubbing it in...

shes is happy I think..she was having those 2nd thoughts AFTER it was over, cause her stomach was so swollen..then she was so upset that she thinks the dr messed up her "pretty little belly button" as she put it..and then shes all pissed cause she can see the veins on her breasts much easier and that freaked her out..but im sure that will all go away when the swelling goes down...but overall she KNOWS she is MORE than PLEASED with the surgery.

It is really weird seeing/touching her after im so used to her without big boobs..I always laugh every time we hang out..'cause I still cant get over it and not used to it.

lol oh well

good luck on ur surgery.

Power Princess, glad you posted that question! I really really want to get my boobs done, too. I've wanted a boob job for years now. I have the size (34 D, but after I lean out probably 34 C) but I also have the sag. Sounds like OICU's deal. I was thinking I'd just get a lift but I always liked how implants look so I'm thinking about it. Less scaring too. Its cool that you named the Doc, because I live in the NY metro area too and I haven't really heard of any good doctors yet. Please keep me updated on how this goes.

One bit of advice: I have read that if you follow a high protein diet it helps accelerate healing/recovery. You will want to check that out with someone with some qualifications of course...just what I read on a surgeon's web site.

That sucks that it takes so long after getting implants to get back into lifting chest. Can you do arm/back stuff or nothing at all? How long before running doesn't hurt?

The thing I'd worry most about is losing lean mass. This is probably hype but I read about some study where bedridden patients were given HMB and did not lose lbm whereas the control patients, who didn't take any supplements, did lose lean mass. I think it was over like 6 weeks. I read of this study in Muscle Media. I know HMB was a big flop, no one talks about using it anymore to gain muscle, but maybe it does help prevent atrophy. Perhaps someone with more knowledge could weigh in?

Bloating -- its not that bad, just sort of frustrating because not only are u uncomfortable w/ the new boobs, you are now feeling fat. I just bought some regular old fiber from the health food store & followed the directions. As w/ any other time I have to take time off from training, avoid heavy carb loading, extra salt food, etc. -- extra calories you can't burn and stuff that will increase water retention.

My wife has hers done about 4 years ago; 700 cc overfilled to 770 cc over the muscle. She had extra skin and breast tissue from having large breasts when she was younger.

However, for her last contest, she got down to about 6% bodyfat and the rippling showed even tho it was overfilled! It can't be helped when the bodyfat is really low.

So... she is considering having them redone under the muscle and a bit smaller, maybe 500 cc.

Under the muscle is more painful than over the muscle, but I believe there is much less chance of rippling when you're defined.

NYMUSCLE - i hope my guys friends have that reaction too :)

Veggie - I'll definitely keep you posted. Dr. Leonard Grossman does it transumbically, through the belly button, no scars, and another dr. that i was extremely impressed with but he uses incisions is Dr. Blau in white plains new.
www.ienhance.com/drgrossman and www.drblau.com

People have told me never to use dr. Steven Greenberg and not to use dr. jacobs b/c they don't do great jobs and have civil malpractice suits against them, so i've heard.

I have a question, it might me a little stupid or maybe I am unaware of the advantages... But why go thru the belly button? why not under the arm. It seems to me that it's a lot closer than the belly button and you would not have as many risk? That's the way I had mine and I have a tiny, tiny scar under each arm. Please someone fill me in....
Thanx

THANK YOU so much for the heads up!! I just checked out the website and the before/after pics look awesome. I have seen so many bad boob jobs looking at implantinfo.com. It was reassuring to see so many good ones by the same doctor. Looks like you've made a great choice.

Sassy, what doctor did u go to down here in FLA? I was thinking about going to DR. Messa, hes in Weston, hes mentioned on the website u posted, and i have had a few friends who have went to him as well... but wanted to see who you went to. :-)

OMG HBG with big boobies?

Im gonna have to move to FL for sure now...

:p

HBG -

Steven Schuster in Boca / Delray. He's also on www.implantinfo.com if you do a search on FL doctors. I was very happy w/ my results.

PP -

There is some info on how to research the docs you want to use by looking in the insurance records for malpractice suits.

Well that's a valid question. However the transambilical approach (aka - TUBA) goes through the belly button so it's scarless b/c your belly button is a scar so it's a scar ontop of a scar. Additionally, it's state of the art practice in which the surgery for my doctor is completed in as little as 18 minutes to maximum 43 minutes. Additionally, heel time requires less time b/c it's less invasive, and their really isn't more risk with a specialized surgeon. All the surgeons now recommend tuba unless they haven't been trained in this type of procedure - b/c it's relatively new and requires more education and training.
Hope that answered your ques :)

No problem babe!!! Yes, i'm confident that dr. grossman will do an amazingly sexy boob job for me :) Tuesday is the B - Day :)

By the way, Dr. grossman charged $75 for his consultation and Dr. Blau was free for his consultations.

Woody: omg!!!! 770cc. each? that's ALOT!!! What size is she??

Had my boobs done yesterday

Hey Everyone

I am one day post operative from my breast augmentation.
I am definitely soar and am having a hard time sitting up :(
However, for the good part -
MY BOOB LOOKS AMAZINGLY PERFECT. :elephant: I went with high profile implants over the muscle 300cc overfilled to 400cc. The whole surgical procedure took 30 minutes.
I took a peek at them when the doctor asked me if i'd like to see them, i went to the mirror and screamed i have big boobs and then hugged the doctor.
I used doctor Leonard Grossman. I did it the TUBA procedure without any scars and no brusing :)
He is phenomenal - my boobs look good enough for playboy. :frackal:
The only downside is the stomach bloating, plus i got my period on top of it - but that should subside in a couple of weeks. The pains sucks, but i am sooo excited if you're thinking of doing it - definitely go for it and if you're looking for an excellent doctor, i'd recommend dr grossman in NYC 100%
I'm in love with my new boobs :D
My boyfriend cant stop staring at them and trying to touch them - i put my yellow string bikini on them and his eyes nearly fell out of his head :FRlol:

HI!
I got mine done about 7 weeks ago. I love them.
My doctor decided it was best for me to go over the muscle since I work out and also my chest is wide for my height.
I was in a bad car accident the day before my surgery- luckily I was completely ok. Some jackass ran a red light......
Anyway, I had already paid for my surgery, and they had a strict cancellation policy once it was that close to my date, so I went ahead and did it.
A few hours after surgery I was driving. I had to because I had so many things to do because of my accident. I asked the doc when I could drive and he said "tomorrow".....
I felt NO pain for the first 24 hours....... I think the general anesthetic was still in effect. Then for about 5 days I felt a mild achy feeling in my breasts. Thats it. I was given the go ahead to start cardio on my one week check up, and light weights a week after that. I resumed picking up my 2 year old about 10 days after surgery.
BTW
I have 375cc over-muscle through the armpit.

this thread really made me realise for the first time that its a pretty serious operation.

stupid me i could have known that as im going to med school

CONGRATS!!!!
Glad everything went okay...
My right breast still doesn't look the same as the left one. I called my Dr. and he said to keep massaging and if in three weeks the right one hasn't dropped then I go and see him...
I am praying that it drops.... anyways... i am glad you had a success!!!

dROPPING

Thanks for your support OC
About the dropping, did you try wearing a strap that the plastic surgeon gives you. Also, how are you massaging them?? Are you pushing in on them and squeezing for cleavage - how did your doctor recommend you to do it.

By the way - I'm soo psyched, my boyfriend took me to Victoria's Secret yesterday and bought me the most beauftiful black and nude sheer embroidered lace bra and matching thong :) As far as size wise, I am a 36D in most bras and a 36DD in the miracle Bras.

I AM IN LOVE WITH MY BOOBS - is that a crime :)
