Getting back into my fitness routine!

Hi !
I've been down for almost 7 months due to neck surgery. It's been a slow and painful process but hopefully I will be back on top by January. Any tips on how to kick start my metabolism again!

My metabolism got lazy after I did a competition in may, the only think that worked for me was increasing my calories. I started a bulking diet consisting of chicken, steak, white rice, veggies, egg whites and protein shakes (although I can't have as many protein shakes as I'm supposed to or it upsets my stomach). What is your current diet?
 
Keep your meals regular and consistent and I keep the calories around maintenance levels. Within 2-3 weeks you should notice your body starting to respond. For example, I'll start to feel hungry close to my next meal time. It means your body is starting to respond and working more efficiently.
