George Foreman

So I was trying to tally up my intake in fitday.com and I ran into a small issue...How much fat does the George Foreman cook off?

I suppose I could weigh the grease trap before and after cooking, but some of the fluid has to be water since my hamburgers are frozen...a nice puddle is left following my bubba burgers, so I can't see entering 420 calories and 36g of fat into Fitday...

*note: I attempted to use the search but it seems to be broken for non-plat users :(

lol, good question.

You could cook out the water with what was left of the grease if you poured it in a pan or something.... maybe.

I'm not sure what a "bubba" burger is.

If you purchase 93%+ Lean beef and make your own burgers, leave the fat in there... it won't be as much as 36grams per (unless they're HUGE burgers :) ).

I'd be interested to see what kind of replies you get as well.

hahaha...bubba burgers are awesome....they look like the state of texas. but they are also terrible for you...each one is ike 250 calories of fat. i don't think the forman grill kills that much fat to be honest....i also will be interested in the responses

Usually when u do a customized search for meats, u select the ounces raw, and I believe in many situations it will automatically account for it, like it'll say yield after cooking.

U cant be too precise with this stuff... it's just a guide. And if u start even beginning to worry about how much fat is cooked off, you're gonna go crazy. If ur not losing enough, cut the cals, if ur not gaining enough, add. What the actual cals taken in are doesn't necessarily matter once u figure it what the "number" fitday is giving u that actually is giving u the result u want on a regular basis. Make sense?

Yeah I understand, I haven't added up the macros until now because fitday doesn't have shit in there for foods, I had to add my stuff myself...which took too much time I didn't have

I'm cutting fine right now, I just never looked at how much fat was in those burgers because I felt that the foreman would cut a decent % of it. I was just curious how much it actually cuts, but regardless I'm going to stop buying them and switch to 97% lean beef and make my own...
