I think the new one is hot, but heard too many bad stories so will never buy one.
 
I have an '04 A4 3.0. Seriously, this thing has been in the shop EIGHT FUCKING TIMES in the last two months. I'm glad it's under warranty 'cuz some of it would've cost me a grip o' cash. I bought this thing in December because used A4's are like $20k, and great on gas (which is cool because I commute like a mofo). Before this, I had a really nice truck but gas is expensive, blah, blah, blah. I want to firebomb this goddamned thing. I'm SO getting an Infiniti...

I just got a new job today...and with this job came a pretty fucking huge raise. So, FUCK OFF, AUDI...I'm going Japanese...

I'm a truck guy, but gas sucks and parking here in SoCal is laughable. Hence, I drive a car now. I can't fucking wait to get rid of this thing.

I thought about Infiniti, but everything is a damn upgrade. I got more for the money with the Acura. You should look into TL Type S too.
 
A little off topic here but.... I saw a Porsche Carrera GT (concept version) going down the highway today and holly fuck stick. That was one of the sweetest cars I have ever seen. I just googled it and Porsche has only made 1500 since 03 and it lists for $440,000. Wtf?
 
Just in terms of the Fuck Audi thing... I know someone who got a BMW with custom plates that said "THX SAAB" after their Saab got bought back thanks to lemon law issues

I owned a TL when they first changed the bodystyle. I bought one for my ex-wife about a year before we split. I absolutely love Acura's but I want something a little different.

all the car mags are giving the gt-r the thumbs up over the porsche 911 turbo and the corvette zo6. rumor has it nissan is working on a 550 hp gt-r that weights less too. gt-r the new supercar that pisses on the super expensive supercars.

turned in my passat after the "oil sludge" issue and how they would not cover shit if you were misssing one receipt.....my recent purchase deprived them on $46K---not that they care but i feel good about it. screw audi/vw

I think I already told you, but I saw a GTR on the streets near the Nissan facility here in LA. It was pretty badass. Not nearly as sick as the Audi R8 and Porsche Carrera GT that were both parked next to my A4 at the dealership on Monday though :)

I say again, fuck Audi. I'll be at the Infiniti dealership today...

if you have money to burn then buy bmw, benz, audi, jag, or whatever. if you want reliable then buy lexus, infiniti, or acura.
 
i have never understood the "logic" of paying Big Bucks for a car that won't stay together as well as a jap car that cost half as much..

my buddy owns an audi TT and tries to explain it to me as i drive him to/from the dealer for repairs.... :rolleyes:
 
I have a TT 3.2 and no problems so far. I might sell it this summer to get something else but I'd buy another Audi if i had to.

Just 500lbs heavier and no AWD. I'd have bought the G37 Coupé with AWD being available. Now the new GT-R might be on my radar, exactly what I'm looking for.

in many areas of our country AWD is not that desireable...just added weight and mechanical complexity more prone to breaking down, adding curb weight and fuel consumption.

OF COURSE the G37 weights more...it's a larger car with a useable back seat and sound insulation that the TT lacks..inexucseable for a car of that price.

anyway, the reduced curb weight is a moot point when the damn thing is undriveable...AGAIN... :rolleyes:

Dont get me wrong. I like both but the TT was just more fun and had the AWD option (and DSG as well). I dont need backseats (for the moment) and as far as I'm concerned, the TT is reliable and track the car 1-2 month...

Yeah the styling is a little bland, but the performance is retarded, especially considering the price point. 1/4 times in the mid 11's and drag starts to 60 in 3.3 seconds. Holy mother that's fast.

same year, except i have the 1.8.

car was AWESOME till i hit 50k miles.then everything went to shit. (which was out of warranty)

tranmission computer, window, drivers side seat panel, even the plastic top to the center console.

i'd happily get another one, but only a 2 year lease.....

Dooood, I just had my transmission control unit replaced at TWENTY NINE FUCKING THOUSAND MILES.
 
GODDAMN GERMAN PEICE O' SHIT!!! FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!! The fucking window motor that I JUST HAD FUCKING REPLACED LAST MONTH isn't working again. Every time I click the little fucking switch to make my window go all the way up, it rolls the window up, then rolls it back down half-way. WHAT THE FUCK???? I want to set this fucking car on FIRE!!!!!

i'm basically fucked bc of my credit right now and the fact i'm over my miles, so i pretty much have to go with another audi (they'll rollover the extra miles into the new lease and approve me because of my payment history)
