Fuck the NRA for turning their backs on us!

If this ban passes, which i think it will, mother fuck the nra for turning their backs on us. These recent tragic events have nothing to do with guns. It has to do with stupid mother fuckers with guns and now our second amendment is gonna be beat into the ground because of it. If a killer wants to kill their gonna kill whether its with a gun, knife or broken bottle. this pisses me the fuck off and now i cant even find a AR on the shelves so now i'm pissed that i'm gonna miss the boat on that one.

Obama is gonna shove it down our throat no matter what, saw that when he pulled the fake tears bullshit on tv,it'll be just like Obamacare, you'll still have the right to bear arms, we just won't have any ammo to shoot out of them.

Write a letter to ur congressman. I wrote on last night. This fuckshit is gettin out of control.

WTF are you so paranoid about?

The NRA stayed silent for 4 days, before they issued a statement saying the reason they went silent was out of respect for the families, then they promised a "meaningful contribution" coming in the next few days. They offered no specifics. The NRA getting out there and being very vocal right now would work against them. They'd appear heartless to the nation again. They can afford to be seen as weak for a little while.

holy overreaction. So they put the same assault ban that was in place before, big deal. It'll expire in a couple years and y'all be able to buy your assault rifles again so you can watch them as they sit silently in your gun cabinet.

I think they get it as this point, no amount of banning is gonna do shit. There's too many guns in circulation. But lmao at suggesting teachers should be armed. God, kindergarden teachers holstered up....at that point it's time to just call it quits on society.

i just wish everyone would stop blaming the problems with fucked up little bitches on guns, video games, and music... its the fucking parents. take an interest in your kids and guide them instead of sticking them in front of a tv to play gta2 or whatever the fuck... and if theyre unstable, common sense says lock up your fucking guns and ammo so they cant get to it... guns dont kill stupid mother fuckers with guns kill...

To be fair, my ultimate stance on this is to keep guns out of the hands of just the idiots. If we can figure that one out then all will be well.

They're supposed to hold a big press conference sometime today (Friday).

Yeah really. If history has proven anything it's that humans are perpetually prone to stupidity. On one distant hand I can really see why the government wants to control everyone. Only problem is, the government is human-based too, and far from the elite variety needed for a power trip to make a lick of sense.

for assault weapons and hand guns a mental evaluation has done, or multiple choice, something like that.

what are you going to do when you fail that test?

I don't like the mental evaluation solution at all. the guns were likely obtained illegally anyway. I like the idea of increasing security in these "gun-free zones". I can't have a gun to protect my family/self? then you better make damn sure no whack job can get in with a weapon of any sort.

maybe we can check for mental disease somehow in the background check that is done when you buy a gun now? I don't know how we would go about doing that but surely it can be done.

Simple solutions aren't that simple. There's lots of reasons why choices aren't easily made or how choice architecture is going against the greater good. To say that it's the parents or the media or the people is myopic because it misses the interrelation with each item.

Your POV is almost as bad as saying that all guns should be banned because is misses the larger picture.

I guess your right... And agree with some sort of background check as far as mental health

then again, if someone wants a gun but gets turned down for whatever reason, what are they most likely to do? doubt they stop there

pople are thinking with their emotions right now and stupid laws that won't make a difference will get passed because of it.

Considering NRA members are heavily Republican who do they expect to pay for all these armed guards and will they have a union?

Considering NRA members are heavily Republican who do they expect to pay for all these armed guards and will they have a union?

I can solve that one.

1) Take our veterans that are returning from oversees.

2) Screen them for PTSD and find the ones with the greatest sense of loyalty and protectiveness.

3) Give each one of them a school. Just like their loyalty was to their comrades before, that school becomes their new home.

4) No, they will not have a union.

5) Sum-up the cost of their pay and benefits. Let's say that value is "X".

6) Then cut "X" from the department of education, specifically in useless middle management that has no student or faculty contact.

7) Then cut "X" from the state departments of education, specifically in useless middle management that has no student or faculty contact.

8) Then cut "X" from the local departments of education, specifically in useless middle management that has no student or faculty contact.

- Students get great protection
- Veterans get to continue their mission to protect and serve
- Taxpayers save X + X in wasted money

But thats offensive to inefective government agency middle managers everywhere

So I just read on the NRA site that my gay liberal state NY is considering stricter gun laws ( we are already the second strictest in the nation) that could include "Confiscation" of firearms fuck I'm pacing does the fucking governor want a civil on his hands

Just couldn't help yourself there could you? :lmao:

Because it's a really good idea to joo down wages with ex soldiers who are armed and walking around schools. How long before some of these guys start hustling drugs in the schools? Far fetched?

how long before one of these guys breaks out an LMG and hoses the school? PTSD sometimes shows up years later. Just one incident and the whole program is shot.

1) Outstanding use of a racial slur!

2) By your logic, we should let soldiers unionize while serving as well. We wouldn't want them hustling drugs while serving either, would we?

dude relax, ic your sense of humor is still amiss. And you did say the soldiers would already be out of the military right? So it would be local and/or state taxes paying for their employment yes? Telling them they can't unionize and then, as we know is going to happen, pay them dick.....well your point about them hustling drugs while serving is quite complicated due to the fact they are under a different set of rules when they are enlisted, but you knew that right? You knew that penalties under the UCMJ are quite another different from civilian life, right? And if we wanted to keep them under the UCMJ than we'd have active military personnel involved in what amounts to LE operations....that also violates something, can't put my finger on it right now. :lmao:

I don't care which set of rules they are under, as long as they're allowed to shoot potheads on sight.

Glad the whole UCMJ thing is cleared up. Can we also agree turning schools into armed camps is also ridiculous? Do you really want to walk your children to preschool in a couple years and see all the teachers holstered up? serious question

The private school my four year old will be attending two years from now already has a select number of armed teachers.

I love the idea.

Shoot pot heads?! Are we going a little far here?! Lol crack heads, no problem... Pot heads?! Give em a brownie and some milk and their fine and usually too stoned to do anything bad lol.
I like pot plunkey... I'm a excellent father, gun owner, business executive, and body builder, extremely responsible, reliable and everything else a stand up guy would be.

He's trolling dude....anyway, so Plunkey...those teachers are holstered at all times? Do the parents get to meet these teachers?

I agree with this. I'd feel more comfortable knowing there is a trained marksman at school to ensure my child's safety.
Did you hear about the journal news publicizing licensed hand gun owners in rockland and westchester county ny? That's a maaaajor violation of privacy. Crazy

Then again I also agree with this... Idk that I'd agree with the person holding the gun. What if I think they're morons?
I think there should be a secondary bullet proof glass door that can be shut and locked by the teacher should there be an alarm.

They conceal and carry. I'd guess parents can meet them, but I haven't asked.

now that's an outstanding idea son. Seriously....and perhaps the teachers shoudl be allowed to carry non lethal weaponry? but i do like the idea of like a blast type door that a teacher can shut and it would take an RPG to get into.

did it ever cross your mind you might wanna see who in the school is potentially carrying around your childrens death in his backpocket? Just suppose...ok, just suppose....you "meat" the guy :lmao: and he's a complete flaming asshat? Still comfortable? Likelihood is he won't be given that you'll probably be sending your kids to elite schools, I get it, but still....one bad day? What I would want to know is if these guys have military or LE background, not just some dooshbags that took a couple safety classes. Like can they shoot competently when they're heart rates are elevated so they don't spray bullets in the event of an actual situation. Cops get wild with their shots when the adrenaline dumps, and they are constantly shooting. You see it's not so simple as just giving someone a firearm and that's that.

I thought it was a great idea... teacher can lock it from the inside and now no one can hurt the children and gun owners arent infringed... maybe the teacher keeps a 100,000 volt taser or something in a lock box bolted to the floor... the thing is we dont want our children to feel like they walked into a military bunker.

It's a fine line thats gonna have to be drawn.

Private schools fire the asshats because if they don't, mom and dad stop writing big fat tuition checks.

Capitalism works.

right and hopefully that happens "before" they do something crazy like go on a rampage right? Yeah..........hopefully.

I'll take my chances with this one.

Isn't it great when consumers have options? It's a shame we don't do vouchers so millions of other parents have options as well.

I like the idea of maybe 2 trained personnel in every school with a sidearm. And by trained, I don't mean just a few classes. I mean intense training involving weapons training and close quarters combat.

I think they should also be tested yearly after that on their training. I am former military and have seen even seasoned men let adrenaline cloud their training with bad judgement (excessive rounds and poor accuracy). I have the same fear others have of a civilian getting scared without enough experience and making things worse. It takes a long time with constant training and real time, real life experience to control yourself, and especially a weapon, during a hostile situation.

im not a gun owner but i do support to right to bear arms, which is what the 2nd amendment is about. to protect yourself against the govt. its not for the common citizen to arm themselves however they please, or i'd own a tank, hand grenades and who knows what else.

people have the misconception that the constitution gives absolute freedoms, but the forefathers were not that stupid to grant that. you cant go into a grade school and falsely yell fire and they didnt want you to be able to walk into one with assault rifles.

You're right, the 2nd amendment is so we may arm ourselves should the need arise to over throw the government, again. Unfortunately, back then they had muskets now we have tomahawk missiles that can land on a fleas ass. We the people will never be able to fight back as the 2nd amendment intended.

Exactly.

The second amendment was meant as a built-in mechanism for the citizenry to rise-up against a tyrannical government.

We've already screwed that up.

The soviets back in the day and current american forces in afghanistan might disagree

we're good at getting banned items, i.e. Drug War/American

True. But I don't think any American could strap a bomb to a kid and send them into a crowd. Those fuckers have the monopoly on that one.

the govt has yet to win a war since WWII, maybe Iraq.

the war on poverty, the war on education and the war on drugs have all been failures. someone is getting rich on these wars and im sure if you follow the money trail it will lead to the sponsors of these wars.

the union serves a purpose whether you agree with how they operate or not does not matter. to eliminate the union would have great consequences, mostly negative because its half of a system of checks and balances.

im not sure if arming school staff is the answer either. i think it could be but sometime in the 20's a school handyman rigged his house, his car and the entire grade school he worked at with explosives. his house blew up with his wife in it, and he blew up parts of the school. he then blew himself up in his car. his plan was to take down the entire school but a large number of his explosives did not detonate. he killed like 40 people, mostly kids.

even in this day and age we have some crazy bastards working at our schools. if it is to be done, i think you have to use outside people that are highly screened and highly qualified. probably govt or military types. maybe an extension of the FBI or CIA.

we also have to make some security modifications to the schools. we need the experts to study the best approach to that. there are complications with that.

“And yes, the founding fathers wanted you to have the right to bear arms, but the guys who wrote that would pee through all eight layers of their pants if they saw what guns are now. In 1787 shooting a bullet was only slightly faster than throwing one. If you wanted to be bullet proof in 1787 you put on a heavy coat. So with that in mind, I’m all about Americans having guns, as long as they’re the muskets from 1787 that take forever to load.”

Experts from all over the world are tired of telling you the solution. Ban weapons.
You still thinking weapons save lives even when the experience says that the States, the largest economy on the world, has a crime rate (weapon related) similar to the Republic of SouthAfrica... ok, keep on with the American Way... :(

Let's take a look what the FBI says,

In 2010 --> murders in the States --> 358 by rifles, 6009 by handguns, 373 by shotguns, 2035 by unknown weapons, 1704 by knifes, 1722 by other weapons, 745 by hands.
While, 51% of those weapons were obtained legally, 12% illegally (and 37% crimes has not been solved so we don't know how those weapons were obtained).

Ok, "hangunds don't kill people", and "murders will obtain their weapons illegally if we ban them and we won't be able to get them and defense ourselves" arguments discarded... ok, ready for the next foolishness. Shoot.

no disrespect but learn some comprehension. i was referring to school security when i said let the experts figure that one out.

And the founding fathers never considered technologies like the Internet, downloadable books and ultra high-capacity drives. We can now distribute vast amounts of information (and mis-information) around the world in seconds now.

If we're going to re-think the second amendment because conditions have changed, perhaps it's time to rethink the first amendment while we're at it.

listen you slimy fuck, 99.9% (a real stat) of legal gun owners never use their weapon for a crime.

The United States is a fucking Democracy, meaning majority rules. 99.9% is the majority, according to every 1st grade math class in the country.

Do you think guns cause crime?

Guess that means alcohol causes alcoholism, let's ban it. Oh wait, we did, and people still made it illegally.

Guess that means drugs cause drug addicts, we shoukd make it illegal. Oh wait, we did, and criminals still obtain them.

Criminals cause crime, murderers cause murders. You're a stupid piece of shit if you think banning guns will do anything to stop criminals from getting their hands on guns.

We already have. Yell bomb on your next flight and lemme know how that works out for ya.

That case was 70 years before the Internet and reliable global communication, but I applaud you for landing in the correct century.

You realize that for a ban to happen it has to pass through the house. Republicans control the house. Feinstein is putting her bill up to grandstand, and then when it fails she can parade around and say how hard she tried. Obama can't force this through even if he wants to. Executive orders don't apply to this kind of thing. Let's also not forget most Americans have a very short memory. All the rah-rah ban gun talk dissipates by the day. Also LOL @ blaming the NRA. No matter what they said or didn't say will have little effect on how the house votes. People voting for/against already knew where they stood before the press conference.

Let's also not forgot a lot of Democrat house members won their seats by small margins in independent states. Voting for a ban is going to hurt come reelection time if you live in say.. Ohio. Or other states that have a large amount of gun owners.
