Forced to continue steroids?

Ive been reading up on many forums and different sites with information, but I have been unable to find a solid answer on this subject.

If you do 1 Cycle, will you be forced to keep on doing cycles to keep your size or can you simply keep training and dieting to keep those gains, and even gain more later on.

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I cant find an answer. :worried:

ur really asking 2 questions u know:

1) Can i keep the gains from a cycle? Nobody keeps all but with proper pct and training and diet spot on u can keep a good deal depending on the cycle and ur genetics. Most compounds will have u keep more strength than size but as I said u can keep some of the size too if u juice smart.

2) Will i be able to grow without it if i start juicing (even with only 1 cycle)?
Many people find that once they start juicing making natty gains becomes very hard. This is one reason juice should only be considered when ones natural potential is exhausted.

Bear in mind that this is just my take on this and I'm no guru.

You can keep a very sizable amount of your gains after a cycle. A proper PCT, diet and work out regimen can fix anything.
 
From an evolutionary viewpoint, muscle is metabollically expensive.

Our bodies like homeostasis, a nice set point so to speak. The body will only hold onto what it can maintain. You can force your body beyond these set points with performance enhancing drugs.

I have seen some guys keep their gains, I have also seen loads get big and then shrink back. More of the latter to be honest.

Muscle is remarkably adaptable, I was reading the biochemical basis of sport performance today, and it was talking about how quickly muscle hypertrophies due to training (most should see muscle gain within 15 training sessions), and how muscle hypotrophy (shrinkage) could occur within days of not training or incorrect diet.

This is the problem with gear, for most, one cycle is not enough. Most just love the gains they make, how they feel when on, and go back on.

I do think some of the sides are cumulative, especially those related to psychological issues.

I was just given the 'lowdown' on loads of competitive bodybuilders that I know in the UK by my coach, and in all honesty, the fall out is not pretty nor clever.

There is nothing wrong with the sensible use of drugs, but there is the rub, there are far too many do not use sensibly IMHO and do damage to not only the reputation and benefits of bodybuilding, but to those that do use responsibly.

i did a cycle when i was 18, 500 mgs sustanon for about 6 weeks, i was an idiot didnt know how to train or eat properly then and notice little to non results and i also did not get shut down, but after the cycle i was natty and trained properly and ate properly in about 4 months and no shit i i went from about 95-110kg , and some say it closes your growth plates and thats true but i also have grown taller since the cycle too, v
but again it affects you as an individual, just my 2cc

I do not dispute that this can happen. I just say that a lot of peeps find it hard growing natty after juicing. Obv I agree that it's an individual thing. I wouldn't wanna chance it knowingly in his situation tho. Would u?

Yea I was thinking the same, Im still young in my training career. Im thinking of going all out the next 2 months training as well I can and eating as much clean food I can and seeing how many pounds I can put on. Hopefully after those two months I can see enough results to persuade myself out of using steroids.

i probably was one of the lucky ones, yes to the maker of the thread , its not worth doing it until you reach a plateau, lift eat sleep and repeat, and surely you will grow

This is too much to try to answer so I will just guide you if you willing to do the research, there are so many variables and your genetics-of course!

First, do a deep research into characteristics of each compound including PCT. The better you understand how each compound works the better you can use them in your favor.

Second, do not just take what others say as your guide to cycling -big mistake...80% or so of people do not know what they are talking about or what works for them will not work for you.

Third, explore your exercise/diet/sleep-basically learn your body to the best of your ability

Once you mastered or answered the above 3 things then you will be able to cycle properly and keep 95% of gains. And yes, it is possible to keep your gains from the cycle if the cycle is no longer than 20 weeks. After 20 weeks it is a big gamble on how you recover and what you can keep
