For Whom The Bell Tolls

The Black Album is Metallica's finest moment

I forgot how good that shit was until I watched the videos. Our nation was so much better in those times, so many more people out having a good time verses fretting over how sweet of car they drive. God I wish I could go back in time.

Their solos are excellent and their lyrics are great. One of the best rock bands in the history of music.

Megadeth>Metallica Lars is a bitch so is kirk, only cool one was cliff burton and he had a tragic death.

All you heavy metal dudes would probably flame me, but I don't like Megadeath much.

Metallica was my first favorite metal band, they still are. Thanks to them, I now like bands like Lamb of God, Trivium, All that remains etc. They are also good is you want to learn how to play guitar or bass, while the solos are a bit hard, the rhythm guitar is great for building chops and a sense of timing.

rumors about the new album say that it's supposed to sound like something between Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. I look forward to that one if it lives up to the expectations.

They made 4 albums that were in the same genre, then they branched out with the black album which was good, it showed versatility. Then they tried to branch out even farther and call all the shots, well, james at least, and that was bad. There are some great songs like Fuel, No leaf clover etc, but overall the past few cds sucked.

I think it would be good if they went back to thrash, as long as they get a lil more creative, and kirk doesn't use the same damn scales. Theres more than just the pentatonic scale, and dorian. He did surprise with that phrygian dominant scale in Wherever I may roam.

So, we shall see
