Did you notice a significant strength loss?
Did you notice any NET strength gains or any muscle gains?
How did your first/second week feel?

first couple weeks are hard, it gets really easy.

the first time i did keto, strength was horrible. the second time around i only did it for 2-3 weeks and actually made strength gains, though my endurance was zapped.

Did it for 2 months.

No strength loss. Actually gained a little strength.
The first week sucked but I luckily adapted after that .

Stick with it you'll be very happy at the 30 day mark.

I'm about 185 lbs 18%-24% bodyfat...got a little gut and handles that I'd very much love to get rid of. Did you notice much hypertrophy? What exactly do you feel in the first week? I'll do from mid-june (after exams) to end-august (university, where I don't have much control of food).

Don`t expect "hypertrophy" on a CKD. The goal is to lose fat, and you will, but muscle gains are not emphasized.

First 1 or 2 weeks will be hard, you`ll think you may not make it but it gets SO MUCH easier after that. You will NOT have the same energy as with alot of carbs.

I know everybody wants to "gain muscle, lose fat" but you gotta realy choose one. With CKD you`re choosing to lose fat.

I did CKD for 3 months lost from 20-25% bf to 10-12%% bf. 230 -200 pounds. Now I`m bulking again while watching carb intake carefully and getting the mass back without too much fat.

Ahh, I knew about that, it's just that I heard that gains in muscle mass and strength can be realized on a ketogenic diet but whatever, fat loss is my primary goal. Hypertrophy/strength would be a bonus. Those are amazing results btw. Did you experience any problems going back to carbs though? lol. What about doing ckd a second time? Same crap symptoms for the 1st-2nd week?
