unless you've got a BB body, single digit bodyfat and a dick-o-death, completely shaved is a little like looking at child porn....now, shaved balls, no hair on the shaft and some sort of a rectangle patch of hair above the dick is fine; just keep it off the sides and outta the taint. {s}he - your partner - may want to explore the outer regions and the absence of hair is more inviting!
