(for the girls) when you first see a guy what do you judge

appearance counts -- I like men who look well put together and professional

Your question is a little odd. Of course you judge on appearance first. That is all you know about the person when you first see them. That doesn't mean it is our number one priority.

For me kindness and being fun trumps looks.

Everyone does unless they are blind.

No, I did not say that.
you kinda did. But fuck it - looks count. Everybody wants the whole package, right? Someone that makes you laugh, is open and sincere without being pathetic, and makes your knees weak when you see them.

Appearance is what I notice first but that does not mean that I will ignore or deny an introduction to someone based on appearance - unless the appearance constitutes the gangsta look or drugged out look (huge turnoff). I like to have a balance of looks and personality. I would much rather be with the average looking guy that is funny and can carry a conversation than the very good looking guy who has nothing interesting to say.

Its ok to say appearance counts, of course it does and has nothing to do with being shallow.

i can't believe a guy would even say that, because even the nicest guy around doesn't pick the ugliest girl and say hmmm, let me get to know her.

being physically attracted to your gf bf is neccassary for a healthy relationship, otherwise you'd be no more than friends....right?

Ladies about to never post in here again, nice job. As if we guys don`t notice a beautiful womans face first then check out her body. Its a process man.

It's interesting....when my salary jumped and I traded in my regular car for a kick-ass car, how much "better looking" and "fun" I became....

But what is "the whole package" for you may not be necessary for me.

If all else was equal between two men and one was Arnold while the other was a troll, of course I would pic Arnold - duh.

But that doesn't mean that another woman would be attracted to Arnold.

Honestly, when I first see a man it isn't his looks necessarily but more the way he carries himself and interacts with everyone from the guy that parks the cars, to the washroom attendent to the CEO of the company. For me THAT IS EVERYTHING.

Men value beauty and women value security. All else stems from this.

I dunno...I have dated some extremely attractive women- and after the initial bliss stage, I always had to deal with a high maintenance attitude- to the point it drove me nuts after awhile and they became more of a headache than anything else...so the looks became uglier with the personality.

However, I never had more fun and more in common with some of the average looking girls I dated because their personality was cool...it was just so easy to be around them. I guess you need a bit of both worlds to find the happy package.
