For my bros using slin, if you need a glucose monitor check this out

I went to my local walgreens today and picked up some Humulin R. I notice that most of their blood glucose monitors are on sale, one happens to be $9.99, BEFORE rebate! It's called the Ascensia Contour, regularly 69 bucks or some shit. But the best part, it comes with a $50 mail in rebate and free date cable (dont need it but what the hell). So after rebate your going to be getting $40 back for buying it, great deal if you ask me. Plus I think anyone using slin should at least have access to a blood glucose monitor.

just curious- did you check the price on the test strips? usually when the meters are marked way down, the price of the strips is through the roof.

Packs of 50 for $28 is the cheapest I've found. What are prices for other strips? I haven't really shopped around here

I got chinese generic for about $3-4 USD, but the prices are very different from country to country. I suggest you try a local wal-mart, they seem to be on top of their game when it comes to pricing. :coffee:

most of the test strips i've found will run between 30-40 dollars. just an idea, my mother is diabetic and changes meters every few months or so when the meters go on sale. usually, they'll come with about a 30 day supply of strips. easy way to save a fair amount of money if you don't mind changing meters fairly often.
