Oh my gosh...this is wierd a question for me????? To be honest I am VERY NEW to this whole bodybuilding thing. My story...the quick version...I was a long distance runner my whole life, usually ran 50 miles per week. I got very sick three years ago, bad kidneys, and the doctor told me no more running, only 3 miles at a time, max. This CRUSHED me! I ended up gaining almost 15 lbs and my body fat was at 24 percent. What did I try to do to solve the problem???? More and more cardio...got fatter and fatter! I was then starving myself, trying to get rid of the fat...what did my body do???? Just held onto the fat! That is when I picked up the book, out of recommendation of my friend and my husband, BODY FOR LIFE. It is a cheesy book that pushes alot of EAS products, but it got through my head what my husband had been telling me for a year now...if you want to lose fat, YOU MUST EAT MORE!!!!! I first changed my diet to eating 6 times per day, then I eliminated all dairy, then all sugar (except a large pizza once per week), I trained with weights 5 times per week and did cardio 3 times per week. My body fat went down to 18 percent. I then looked into ANAFIT products. i decided on LEVOREX due to my kidney issue. Took the Levorex for 6 weeks and went down to 12 percent body fat. I will be honest...i just kept up a VERY VERY VERY CLEAN diet and continued to lift, and lift hard. I am naturally very lean now...I am not taking any fat burners at all. I eat 7 times per day and not very fun food in preparation for this contest:
4:00 am Every other day, alternating I do either calves or abs
4:30am 12 egg whites and 1/2 cup oatmeal
7:30 am variation of (4 oz chicken), 12 oz talapia, 1 can tuna, and green beans, spinach, brussel sprouts and 3-6 oz yam
10:00am variation of (4 oz chicken), 12 oz talapia, 1 can tuna, and green beans, spinach, brussel sprouts, 3-6 oz yam
2:00 pmvariation of (4 oz chicken), 12 oz talapia, 1 can tuna, and green beans, spinach, brussel sprouts, 3-6 oz yam
5:00 variation of (4 oz chicken), 12 oz talapia, 1 can tuna, and green beans, spinach, brussel sprouts, 3-6 oz yam
TRAIN: Ususally an hour and half of VERY HEAVY weights with high rep at this time. Without my husband to train me, this could not happen. I have not done ANY CARDIO now for two months and this is when I saw the BIGGEST difference in my legs. The running was eating up my muscle.
8:00 pm: variation of (4 oz chicken), 12 oz talapia, 1 can tuna, and green beans, spinach, brussel sprouts, 3-6 oz yam
11pm: 12 egg whites
I am currently eating more than I ever have in my whole life!!!1 Almost 3000 calories. My body now really does feel like a machine...every two hours it is calling out for food!
PLEASE keep this in mind though... I am preparing for a contest right now...i will not eat like this after...i will still eat clean, but I WILL cheat once per week and I will probably take a very needed break from the gym to rejuvinate....I WILL go for a run on April 2nd! And I really need to stay full...right now I may look contest ready, but to many I look very flat and not in such a good position....My main goal is to HOLD ONTO the muscle I have and do my darndes to bring up my lagging parts...To Sassy, Daisy, Bunny, and my husband....and Trish (is she is reading this)....I could NOT BE WHERE I AM TODYA WITHOUT all of your advice and help!!!! To truly answer you question, sorry i probably gave you WAY MORE INFO than what you wanted...FOOD IS THE BEST DRUG YOU CAN TAKE...IT IS 80 PERCENT OF THE GAME...Supplements will only get you if your body fat is low enought (like around 12 percent) or it really does not make that big of a difference.
