For all you low carb dieters...check these Tortilla's out

I've been using them for a while now and absolutely love them. Punch in your zip code in the store finder and it will show you the nearest place to pick them up.

These taste amazing....11g carbs (8g fiber) per tortilla, only 3g NET carbs!!!! 5g protein and 2g fat.

These are a god send for those on low carb and keto diets...I make chicken burrito's with these with, tuna wraps, chicken wraps......use your imagination! I like to warm them up in a hot pan and get them nice and toasty before eating them.

Did I mention they taste GREAT!!!

Damn... sounds too good to be true. I can put my bland ground turkey and romaine lettace on one! With some cheese and peanut butter! Ok, maybe not the peanut butter.

All the time I see people trying to get the best taste out of their low-carb diets. I guess I'm weird, but, when I'm dieting, I try to keep it as bland as I can; beef, steaks, chicken, shakes and some natty peanut or cashew butter. If my food is too good, then I crave crave too much of it way too bad.

I'm tellin you these things are a god send. You also get 8g fiber per tortilla, which is a great on a low carb diet. I eat about two of these a day. I make chicken wraps with a little melted cheese, walden farms calorie/carb free bbq sauce, and chicken strips.

BTW, don't get the flavored ones...I've heard they're not as good as the regular.

JG1,

How much are they going for? The closest one is in Manhattan and I'm gonna go later this week!

:D

Forget my question...They were $25+ for a 10/10 ct with $8 shipped...Needless to say, I ordered 1

:p

10g of carbs isnt going to illicit a huge insulin spike and besides it depends on what the breads made out of etc

you can get flax bread which is lower in gi than oatmeal by a long shot!

Guys, the large ones have like 6g NET carbs! 20g carbs (14g fiber)

The small ones have only 3 net carbs....they're made of mostly oat fiber.

Insulin response? Not off of these!!

BTW, even if you use a large one (6g net carbs) with some cheese/chicken or ground meat, it's still a perfect keto food!

I like to play it safe though so I limit myself to one smaller one per meal, and I usualy have two or three of these a day.....hell, puts an extra 16-24g fiber in my diet with only 3-6g net carbs.

I got my case ordered. I opted to do it over the net instead of make a 45 minute drive. Yes, i'm that lazy :p

I hope these really are worth it!

Don't forget to toast them slightly in a hot pan before you use them, like 45 seconds or so on both sides. Gets rid of the "raw" taste and firms the tortilla up a bit. They also taste good nice and hot!

You have to buy a fing case???? Can't imagine these are a solid source of carbs.....stick to brown rice and yams, no?

Who said they were a solid carb source???.....thats the point, they're NOT a carb source at all!!!!

:o

2 places within a mile of home.

I just had one with some turkey breast strips & low-fat cheddar cheese.......excellent. This will be the basis of my low-carb diet from now on. And the fiber is a bonus.

Nice!

If you didn't heat them up in a pan till nice and warm, try it, makes it taste good :)

I drove 40 minutes to get some.

And I am NOT disappointed.

Good call jg!!!

I had some turkey wraps earlier, and I'm going to try a BLT in the morning with them.

I went to the store the other day and they didn't have the low carb variety. Do they keep them refrigerated?

Yeah, but I don't think they have to be refrigerated till opened. I still keep them in the fridge though.

damn i could only find their low fat version, look harder next time i guess.

Just got mine in the mail...bought the garlic one.....then I got to thinking, my carb intake is 1/2cup oats in am, myoplex mid-am, 6oz yam for lunch w. veggies, 1/2cup oats pretrain, and veggies at night....so, it's about 200g MAX.....anywho, if I have a couple for lunch, guess I'd have to dump the yam.......or if I had it for b-fast, I'd have to dump the oats......what, probably 2 wraps = 1/2 oats or 6oz yam, huh? You wouldn't rather have oats w/ cinnamon and splenda or a nice hot yam with melted fake butter????? Hmmmmm......what do you think? Ingredients in the wraps are pretty solid carbs, huh? Whole wheat and oat........

Christ, for the second time these AREN'T carb source! They're for people that are low carbing...they only have 3 carbs per tortilla!!

NOT A CARB SOURCE! NOT A CARB SOURCE! NOT A CARB SOURCE! NOT A CARB SOURCE! NOT A CARB SOURCE! NOT A CARB SOURCE!

relax kid.......they have 11g of which 8g is fiber, i know.....but, they are a whole wheat product...you have 2-3? carbs mmmmm....so, you think I can still have my yam or rice and toss in a few wraps will no ill effects except additional calories?

kid....lol

Yes, you can still have your yams/rice. 3g of carbs is NOTHING...believe me. It's more of a protein source then a carb source.

Ok, here's a better question...if I DID substitute for my lunch carbs, would I still benefit from the energy that rice/pot./yams give me to fuel my afternoon training??? If maybe I added a little more fat? Such as:

2 wraps <----replacing 6oz yam/sweet potatoe
6oz steak, chx
salad
steamed veggies, beans, etc.

I had 1/2 cups of steel cut at 7am and a myoplex about 930.....so, I'm about 55carbs right now.....yam usually puts me over the century mark, but I'm wondering if that is what makes me tired when I get back into the office.......then I have my 1/2cup oats around 2:30 and train at 4pm.....suggestion?

Bro, do not replace you carb meals with these tortilla's....I keep trying to tell you that but it dsoesn't sink in. 2 tortilla's has 6g carbs, 6oz yam has 48g carbs.....see where I'm gettin at here?

If you want to lower carbs drop the yam, add the torilla's and perhaps a fat source like some EFA's.

But then I can have the oats at 230, correct? with a scoop of protein....not mixing carbs and fat is all.......what do you think this will do as far as weight wise? Leaner with less carbs?

Back from lunch.......

2 tortill - w/ 3oz of buffalo in one and 3oz of chx breast in other...lettuce, ff cheese, chopped onions.....nuke in oven at 450 deg for 10 minutes....top with hot mustard and a TB of flax.......

green beans, large salad, broc, cali, .......readdddyyyy to rock!

Nah, actually they were pretty good......see how I feel.....

I'd switch to CKD if I could have my skim milk and myoplex mid-am meal and lb of peanuts late night....oh well.......

I've honestly become addicted to these.....make them like a pizza....damn.....just bought 4 more packs....think 3-4 of them a day is too many????? Only 50 cals, but wondering about the fiber........2 for lunch and 2 for dinner???

WOrst part is that I replaced them with my 6oz yam, but have had no ill effects......hmmm.....input?

come on...dont wanna get sick...9g of fiber is a ton....what's the daily allowance for 200lb'r

I wouldn't worry about the fiber. 30-50g/day is perfectly fine and is very good for you.

+ all the fiberous veggies I slam..plus cup of oats.......I'm gonna blowwwwww............how many do you do a day? 3-4? Thinking two wraps at lunch....oats as my PW.....and 2 more for my dinner with some tuna or chx or something.....hmmmm

JG1 - when do you eat yours? Lunch and dinner? Is 4 too many? Combined with the other fiber I'm getting from oats and broc.??? Thanks!

4's fine...an extra 32g fiber daily.

I don't eat a typical "lunch" and "dinner"...6 meals/day, I throw the tortilla's in 2 or 3 of them.

JG1, i discovered these things a few months ago and absolutely looooove them....they make me feel like i'm cheating...the website has a few low-carb recipes that are pretty high in protein that are good too...my personal fav is the Green Onion Shrimp Low-Carb Wrap...very good...i sometimes spread some hummus on one as well...i'm glad someone finally posted this and let everyone else in on the secret!

I know what you mean.....I eat them everyday and ran out of them for a couple days and was not a happy camper...lol. I really love these things :)

DAMN! I honestly could put down a whole pack........BUT, 4 make me feel like I swallowed a balloon...............

Dang! I ordered them from the web the DAY JG1 posted about these. They arrived today! It took FOREVER! Can't complain, tried one out (plain) and it was very good...I got the original flavor...I'm gonna go to costco/BJ's and get some chicken cutlets/strips and some fat free cheese and make some tasty wraps...Good call JG1

I just got the garlic & herb flavor and god damn they are great. I just add my cheese turkey and I am set. Makes my keto diet much more enjoyable. good post JG1.

Man, the local grocery store just started carrying these this week. Killer for lo-carb steak or chicken burritos. Even been using them with egg whites in the AM with a bit of hot sauce or salsa if I plan on cardio mid-AM. Killer!

JG, you little bitch, you need to learn to check your e-mail! Hit me up PM style or something.

i have been using these for a while too. if you spray them with a little water and broil them you can make tortillia chips just cut into triangles before cooking. also as a lo carb dessert when im craving sugar i take a plain one and spray it with i cant believe its not butter spray ten coat with cinnamon and stevia (or splenda i use the stevia to avoid the malto) and bake until it is crispy a great 50 cal snack

damn....never thought of the desert idea........and I usually do......nice! Kinda like those things Taco Bell has....lol

I've been using these for quite a while, I get them for free cuz our family is good friends with teh family thta own the company, lol, they are our neighbors to BTW. Love these tortilla's, garlic herb ones are my fav. They are coming out with chipolte flavor and a cheesy flavored tortilla soon. they are also going to be making chips that are similar to teh tortillas that would be low to zero carb for the Atkins and CKD people.

How many do you guys eat of these things a day? On average? Anyone use them who is NOT on a low carb diet? Or low, but not CKD?

I still think the desert idea was top notch............

just threw in a order for a "boatload" of these things. Cant wait to try them out, my diet will now go very bland to bland!!:p
