Flax Seed Oil causing acne?

Avatar

New member
lately I've broken out with acne my mid-upper back and shoulders. And my face isn't as clear as it has been in the past.

The only thing I've changed different in my diet lately is adding flax seeed oil a few weeks ago. Could this extra oil from the flax be related to making my skin more oily, hence causing the pimples?

Also can anyone suggest a real good (potent) lotion to help take these blemishes away?

only thing I can think of is if your diet prior was ultra low in fat and it was supressing your natural test production a bit, and the added flax brought it back up. Far fectched chance but other than that it shouldn't effect acne at all.

I think flax should help your acne.. It helped mine. I was on a reduced calorie/low fat diet while cutting and I broke out with severe acne on my back. A freind suggested that the acne was caused by not consuming enough fat. He suggested flax seed oil and within 10 days the acne was gone... been taking it ever since.

If your using it to up your calories its pretty simple, try something else for a while and if it goes away it was the flax.

You're supposed to drink it, not rub it on your body.
