Flash player trouble- Need help

I tried that too. It wouldnt let me. Kept telling me that you have a newere version installed.

Go to add and remove programs and uninstall it and start over?

wont do anything, I can access all the download sites, and the update is downloading, I just cant install it.

I already did that. That was the first thing I did.

Still says that is not the latest version of flash blah blah blah when i try to go back to an older version

But sometimes in the middle of a download you get a pop up with install options or something, and the download won't continue until you acknowledge the pop up.

when you are downloading things like system components or updates and a pop up is blocked, you are normally notified to temp. allow popups....but just for arguments sake, I have disabled pop up blocker and tried to reinstall it. same result.

Running out of ideas.
You don't have more than one browser open at a time do you?
Maybe unstall IE and reinstall it, and flash will come with it?
