I have found this interesting article on EFAS, especially the effect of caffeine on the conversion a-linoleic acid to EPA & DHA :
(from Muscle Monthly Magazine)
For bodybuilders EPA and DHA either from flax oil or fish oil can increase insulin sensitivity as well as decrease inflammation. These are both very desirable. For flax I would simply recommend the dose on the label, 1 tablespoon per 100 pounds body weight. For fish oil you should get 4-5 grams per day.
One thing you need to keep in mind is that caffeine can prevent one of the enzymes (delta6-desaturase) required to convert a-linolenic acid into EPA and DHA. This being the case, you will need to use fish oil while using ephedrine and caffeine on a diet.
