at 27, naturally able to put on 30lbs of muscle in about a year. With fat though. 15 aint a whole lot to gain naturally, and lean in a year. I had to stop for a a few years, and was just getting back though.
I wasn't even doing anything right most of the time and if I could go back and do everything right from the beginning I would. But I still dont know if gaining over 30lbs woulda been possible if doing everything right.
You should be training primarily for strength anyways. Lean n mean. Mass from strength for a swimmer. Training for mass is different than training for strength. A lotta burners in swimming, which aint all that great for mass gains.
But if you go ahead, good luck. I'd focus more on training for your sport though and trying to be as fast and strong as possible with the leanest body. There's a reason you dont see any competitive 225lb 7% bodyfat swimmers. Same goes for pullups. Sure big dudes do pullups. But being at say 160, ripped to the core, all back and bicep with no leg muscle holding you down would be more ideal for superfit pullups.
