First cycle, confirming expectations

Hey gals -
I'm about to start my first cycle of Anavar, 5mg day, and despite all the research I've done, I can't find pre/post stats or images.

I'm 5'10, 125, with a runners build. 12%bf. I lift 3-4x week, and maintain a 40/40/40 Protein-carb-fat diet.

I recently trained for 12 weeks for my figure competition, and while I saw improvement, it certainly didn't justify the effort I put into it!!!

I know the Var will increase strength gains, but will it also increase the size? My arms/abs just look tiny :(

Also considered Deca for lower half fat loss, to help tighten, but not sure.

Deca isn't used to tighten and the stuff you listed, it's a gainer..also a long ester which isn't popular among women...it's short ester version, NPP, is more recommended for women.

But omg 5'10" and 125? You have to be lower bodyfat, I'm 5'10" and 200 at 13%...that's crazy...How old are you btw?

I've run just about anything you can think of. I gain muscle very very easily...with var I don't gain very much, it just cuts me up nicely.
 
I might be lower, I was still cutting water last time I checked bf.
I just can't seem to pack on muscle. I burn right through it... I've worked with trainers, varied reps, gone heavy... I'm frustrated. I have a great figure, but I want guns.
I'm 31.
Ok, what would you reco?
 
It's honestly all about what you eat. I've always had a natural athletic build BUT it wasn't until I learned how to eat right and time my carbs perfectly that I started gaining...even men who don't eat correctly won't gain with roids, they're not magic, you have to feed them correctly.

So basically post up your current diet and we will go from there
 
Nope, I hear you there. 40/40/20, 5-6 meals/day. Main protein is chicken, but I sub in iso pure protein shake, fish, turkey. Add in ground beef, almonds, pb for fats. Sweet potatoes or brown rice for carbs, and more broccoli than I ever cared to eat :)
Gallon of water daily. And a cheat day once/week.
Not looking for miracle, but for eating right and working out right, I don't see much change.
 
Definitely stay away from deca...totally agree with Psizzle there!!

How many calories are you eating?? How much cardio? Are you off season now or still prepping? Is your main goal to gain size at this point?
 
calories are about 1500, cardio 3x wk.. HIIT 2 of the 3, and usually one long steady state run.
Done with competition, took a couple weeks off. Now I'm ready to gain size.
 
You're an ectomorph which means it's hard as hell to gain and maintain weight...as someone wanting to gain size this isn't a good thing unfortunately...

I'm a mesomorph, I gain weight very well and fast, and when I was bulking I hardly TOUCHED cardio...I'd do a little 10-15 minute warm-up on a stationary bike before lifting, nothing extreme or intense, just prepping my body, and I'd do a short 5-6 minute cool-down same way...that's it. Maybe one or two sessions on the weekend, but that's it. You are doing way too much cardio for someone who is wanting to gain size... You, an ectomorph, if i were you I'd throw cardio completely out of the equation except for the warm up and cool down I just talked about...

Secondly, 1500 cals a day isnt gonna get you what you want. Shit if I were you I'd double that honestly, or at least go close to it. Even if you were to go on roids right now with the way you're eating you won't gain as much as opposed to if you were really feeding your body the way you're supposed to...make sense?
 
Yup 2 much cardio you shouldn't even do it at your weight every one knows that cardio is muscle wasting aswell!
 
When women have trouble losing body fat in areas such as lower ab, hips, thighs and butt it is generally due to not taking in enough good fat. If enough is not taken in your body will crank up its estrogen production and that will ensure nothing gets rid of it.
A quick way to help that is to take in at least 3k of Omega 3 and 2.5k or Omega 6.
