ok. i'm thinking i'm gonna start my first bulker (naturally) come the second week of january. my main goal is SIZE, while keeping fat to a minimum, while also making gains in strength. i was wondering how many calories i should eat for each pound i weigh. i'm 19 at 6 ft 156 lbs. i've heard anywhere from 16 to 20 kcal per lb. my metabolism seems to be very efficient, (as in i gain weight, predominantly fat, easily), so i was thinking of taking the 16 kcal route. i was also wondering if these numbers are multiplied by complete body weight or just lbm? any insight guys? also, i was thinking of doing mr. x's recommended nutrient split of 40%p/30%c/30%f. has anyone experimented with this split? any comments? i was planning to bulk along with needsize's 5X5 routine. i was also wondering if the calories should be less in the beggining of the weight cycle, (when the weights are really light), and then gradually increase as the weights get heavier and more stressful. i'm just really paranoid about gaining too much fat.
as for the supplements i'll be using, i'm gonna be taking scoops of allthewhey daily, lots of flax seed oil, multivitamin, rala, l-rex, gplenish, and creatine. should i only start taking these products, (namely the creatine and gplenish) when i need them the most (ie, struggling with the weekly added weight on the bar?) or should i just take them all from the beginning. also, can taking small amounts of trex help in any way? i have some left over from my cutter. thanks for taking the time to read. all tips and comments are appreciated. happy holidays.
