The stupid thing is that they are told they are being tracked via GPS.

And they still try to get away with it. I've had probably about 10 of these situations in the last 6 months.

Yeah, she didn't do shit. They get paid an hourly base rate + commission. Apparently she was trying to get paid her base pay for partying it up in Florida the entire week.

They have to report their hours and how many sales calls/presentations they make and how much $ they sold each night into an online application - she reported average numbers all week, including sales to several businesses in Iowa - which is impossible....and fraud.

She was a recent hire (within 2 months). Her sales numbers were leading us to put her on straight commission within a week. She knew this, decided to say fuck my job, I'll try to get some free money for the last week I have a base pay coming, and go chill in Florida.

She can call Iowa over the phone. Point is she reported face to face sales and physically being present in her assigned territory.

We've only filed charges once against someone who filled out contracts on behalf of his "customers" and was paid commission on them - it was over $10,000.

With this girl it was less than $2,000, not worth the time and effort.

The 10 reps or so trailing her earned between $85,000 and $150,000. Bonuses of $30-$50,000 based on annual numbers. We do have scripts but I doubt those people were using them.
