filtering Ethyl Oleate

how do you filter Ethyl Oleate if it melts plastic?

With the right type EO and the right place you don't have to.

Im not sure I follow? im brewing up gear and am using eo as a carryer. how do you keep it from damaging the filter?

You can't prevent that. I don't know how much you are filtering. But if you are going to filter EO then use one filter per 20ml. aside from pushing the residual 2ml out of the filter at the end. It will stiffen up the plunger inside the syringe but after a bit it will be ok again.

PTFE is generally an acceptable filter media for EO.
