Females: Do you feel your rights are being violated? (PBA BAN-VERY GRAPHIC)

Danielson,

I also sited another source. Don't know the validity of either. I know that they are human and have feelings. People have jobs to do. That's life.

It hasn't been closed because 2thick is a moderator. If he wasn't this would be closed in a second.

Not likely. I have seen many a threads where mods have posted on them and the threads were still closed! Danielson is also a moderator..

I don't think this thread should be closed either. I still say the cancer one and the anorexic girls one should have been closed. This one is okay. We are all intelligently debating here. Everyone is being polite and taking eachothers oppinions into consideration.

I was only suggesting it be closed because it's all been said before.

It would be a blessing. This entire thread is redundant.

Redundant, yes; however, highly controversial, conversationally stimulating, and also a current issue in today's world.

yeah i saw it after i posted :)

i guess the reason im opposed to the ban is that i don;t like the idea of government preventing a physician from administering the best treatment he feels is of maximal benefit to his patients (which the patient consents to)

im also certain the obs/gyny doctors have elements within their group that are set against this procedure....if it weren;t necessary for patient then i dont see them condoning it

Late-term and partial-birth abortions account for a tiny percentage of all abortions. Fewer than 2 percent of abortions are done after the fifth month, according to a 1999 report by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; and fewer than two-tenths of 1 percent are partial-birth abortions, according to a 2000 report by the Guttmacher Institute.

Why is this thread still open?
There's no reason to close it - from my point of view people need to understand the VAST difference between the prodcedures.

Banning late term abortions and partial abortions will not effect "abortions" being done as the general public understand them as the majority of abortion are in the first tri-mester.

Atlantabiolab-

Babydoc had at one time explained why they were done not too long ago - if I can find it or if it still exists I'll post the link.

while I somewhat agree, nobody's view is going to change on this matter IMO. It's like the God debate. People have made up their minds and wind up repeating themselves.

Word is bond.
