What are some of your favorite songs that are somewhat depressing or sad?

Here are some of mine:

I Wonder - Chris Issac
The Drugs Don't Work - The Verve
Santa Monica - Everclear
Wrote a Song For Everyone - CCR
Have You Ever Seen the Rain - CCR
Against the Wind - Bob Seger
Ten Years Gone - Led Zeppelin
Pretty Much Anything by Nirvana
The End - The Doors
Wonderful - Everclear
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins

There are many others I just can't think of them all right now

Most anything from Opeth (especially the Damnation album) or Alice in Chains.
Metallica - Fade to Black.
GNR - November Rain.
Sentenced - End of the Road.
40 Below Summer - A Season in Hell ... that's a little too aggressive to be sad though, with the exception of the outro.
Flaw - My Letter.
Porcupine Tree - Shesmovedon.

I could probably name 100 more if I felt like thinking.

onesidezero - instead laugh
beatles - in my life
the beautiful mistake - circular parade

My Chemical Romance - Ghost of you. Don't like that band, but I love that one song.

Iced Earth - Angels Holocaust

Look up those two, they have another one, it's a real sad one but it's great. I can find the name if you like IE.

Stabbing Westward - Sometimes It Hurts

System of a Down = Roulette

Stone Sour - Bother

Drowning Pool - Love and War

10 Years - WasteLand

I listen to a lot of heavy music, and classical. But I don't really like heavy metal bands till they have a slow tempo/sad song. Heavy songs can come by easy at times, but to be a heavy band and come out with a slow tempo and still be great, is just fantastic to me.

"love has no pride" by linda ronstadt.

"i can't make you love me" by bonnie rhait

The First Cut is the Deepest by Rod Stewart
I Don't Want to Talk About It by Rod Stewart

Album: Sea Change by Beck.

Such a sad yet amazing album.
