Exercise choices

It depends on what your goals are. If you want a lot of muscle - then yes you will need to lift weights.

If you want a lean and slender gymnast type build - then you do not need to lift weights
 
It really depends on how you want to look and what you consider "in good shape". I think a variety of exercise is always the best option.
