Ex Nubain addict needs question answerd

Hi all!

A friend of mine had got addicted to the bodybuilding drug Nubain about two years ago. He is currently off the drug and getting treatment for it. The Doctors have weened him off the Nubain with another addictive drug called Methadone. He takes 40mgs of Methadone everyday now.

He is back training hard again and has made some good gains even though he is taking Methadone. He wants to know if it would be OK to do a steroid cycle whilst on the methadone. He has been training on and off for ten years and has done three cycles in the past.

I understand that 40mgs of Methadone a day is considerd a low dose. I have told him that orals may be a problem if the Methadone raises liver values. But im not sure about injectables. He is thinking of a Test and Deca cycle. 600mgs Test-C and 500mgs of Deca a week. Maybe an oral to kick start.

He has hit a wall with his training at the moment. This is why he is wanting to do Steroid therapy.

By the way the Methadone is taken oraly and its in liquid form.

I did some research on the Internet and found out that Methadone is also taken as a strong painkiller for migraines etc.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thankyou in advance!

i am not sure someone struggling with addiction to painkillers should mess with gear--there are enough ups and downs with gear use--get your/his addiction controlled, than maybe think about gear.

not speaking from experience but you/he has much more important things in your/his life to contend with than gear. just my humble opinion and i wish you/your friend the best in hs/your battle.

IMHO if he is still on methadone he has many other issues to deal with before he starts a cycle. Steroid use can have MANY of the same psychological problems that narcotic use does.

And yes, I am a CADC.

His addiction is controlled. He hasnt touched Nubain in two years. Every month his Doctor lowers his Methadone dose. He was on 90mgs of Methadone but now he is on 40mgs.

He just wants to know if the Methadone will effect the steroids. And will they still be effective? He has already won the battle with Nubain. In a years time they would have weened him off the Methadone completly. Its just a very long process.

I told him that if he is determined to do this then start with just a short ester test. So if he experiances any bad side effects then he could stop quick.

i would be more concerned that if your nerves are at all dulled, you may over-do-it and cause a serious injury.

No it wont affect his cycle.


The good brolys here are just concernend that adding something like this can harm is recovery. I do not know if it will harm is recovery.

Like you say use a short actin ester and he neds to be honst with himself and allow a friend like you step in when he is out of line and stop the shit. I have a close friend of mine that when I am on he knows. I tell him if i get aggressive or become to much of an asshole let me know and Ill stop the cycle.
