Espn Classic.....

We'll I spent almost an hour on hold yesterday trying to get ESPN Classic through my stupid At&T Broadband cable.....only to find out since its analog or something its not offered. But the nice lady said she would forward my comments. All I want is 2 channels I told her...ESPN, and ESPN Classic, if you can throw in ESPN 2 that would be nice, however I'm not a big motorcross, racing fan, but they did have a rerun strongest man comp. on ESPN 2 yesterday which was nice

You didn't watch any of it then? I have both fights along with the bio recorded. I didn't watch any of the fights; had other things to do, but caught the last half of the Sports Legends thing. If you want the tape just let me know... Oh, honestly I AM to be trusted with any info...at least that's what my psychotherapist tells me..
ESPN Classic is good to watch for about a year and then everything is repeated..and repeated..ad nauseum so it is only good for awhile. Do you have MTV2? I would kill to watch a station that actually plays music videos; I don't care about what kind of music just anything! MTV really sucks nowadays.
Sorry I can't be online during the day to chat 'real time' with you-it would be fun-but that would mean I would have to get a real job. Don't know if it's worth the trade-off.. Anyways will check back this evening and let me know if you want the tape; I'll gladly mail it to you

I want M2 as well. then maybe I'd watch something other than TLC and the Discovery Channel.
my dad had M2 when he had his digital sattelite and it was great. not sure if my current cable provider will offer M2. I do have all the espns though. I usually just watch fox though since they will show all the Red Sox games since it is local. kick ass. when I was in Virginia there was a station that would show all the Braves games and a station that would show all the cubs games.
back in the day when Jerome Walton was rookie of the year. '89 I think. The Giants and the A's went to the world series and tehn there was the earthquake... Mark Grace, Will Clark, Matt Williams, Kevin Mitchell, Andre Dawson, Jose Canseco - Nolan Ryan was still unstoppable and throwing no hitters...

Hey I watched 2 Minute Drill yesterday (while I was on hold with my cable company for almost and hour)...those contestents are quick!!! I was impressed

M2 has different vj's and it is all kinds of good music - not just the TRL stuff that the regular mtv has become.
M2 kicks ass. or at least it did a few years ago.

I don't get comedy central, I have to pay extra for that and I'd have to get a box, so I don't.

I'd give it all up for a faster net connection that is consistent.

Happy, you are right about the year, 1989. Ah, I remember it well. Jerome Walton was touted to be the next Ricky Henderson and never panned out. Don't you have Mediaone in Cambridge?...a friend of mine is in Arlington and he gets Comedy Central. BTW I have a friend who's a post-doc at Harvard Med School and might go up and see him next month. If so, maybe we can get together for a few drinks and you can show me where all the cute BU girls (note: I didn't say MIT girls) hangout or we can go to Harvard Square and make fun of all the beggars on the street?

Shagwell, 2 minute drill is fast! My sports trivia knowledge has waned in recent years; I haven't kept up with it, but used to know a plethora of useless trivia, mostly the older stuff. Many of my responses are"damn, I used to know that answer"
BTW I am serious about the tape. I recorded it for you as my good deed for the day and will send it to you if you would like it.

the 2 Minute Drill is FAST....I know some good trivia people, but to listen to those people ask and mess up some questions and process it and spit out the answers that fast....thats IMPRESSIVE....

mdguy - yeah, I have mediaone. but you have to pay extra for comedy central - I'm too cheap to get it - I love it but don't really watch much tv. I usually just leave it on the discovery channel and try to learn something.

and yeah, let me know when you come up. as for bu girls, I don't know any, but I know one or two bc girls. I know harvard people (dating one!) and mit girls... is there such thing? harvard square is stupid in its homeless population - although many of the beggars are just kids that have rich parents but are rebelling and bored. latona from the board lives around here too.
