muscle builders not banned by the IOC
I am training an elite female 800 meter athlete who has olympic potential and only has a few seconds to shave before she can qualify. I am CSCS and HFI certified with a few years of collegiate and proffessional strength and conditioning coaching under my belt. I am an experienced AAS user and know the IOC bans most AAS type ergogenic aids. I currently have her on 5+ grams of Beta Alanine which has shaved a few seconds off her time. She also takes 5-7 grams of creatine per day to help recover during the repeated bouts of sprinting. She gave Sodium BC a shot but her stomach wouldnt tolerate it. Much of my research has pulled some aids up that could have potential such as Rhodiola, Cordyceps, HMB, Colostrum, L-Histidine, Citrulline Malate, and KIC. I knew the women who would know the most about ergogenics werent runners but would be bodybuilders, fitness girls and powerlifters. So ladies what are your thoughts on muscle builders and performance enhancers for an 800 meter athlete? Remember mass isnt really the goal and it will have to fall within the rules of the IOC. 800 meters is an odd distance, its not a sprint and its not an endurance event. You have to run at 80% for 600 meters then push up to 100% for the final 200. It takes a high VO2 combined with a great ratio of moderate and fast motorunits. High VO2 and fast motor units dont usually come in pairs. Her V02 is great and her fast units are great but a touch more is needed.
Look at the world record holder, she set record well before testing was main stream. http://www.toucan-athletic-club.com/img/kratochvilova.jpg

She was no doubt on AAS at the time and her time has stood for 26 years now. Many of the modern day champions are still using banned substances and pretty much all of them take tons of non banned ergogenics.

Thank you in advance and I look forward to what you all can bring to the table.
