'emo' people need to have their fucking face beat in with golf clubs

guys, guys...

this is stereotyping.

just like you don't like the stereotype that bb'ers are roidheads who rage... or whatever. it's the same thing... who freaking cares?

why are we being so judgemental here?

I agree it is, and my post previous to this one is a good example, I just see this particular person all the time and she fits the stereotype to a T. peace

Kyle Turley of the New Orleans saints is an artist. Very interesting material, yet I doubt he is a coffee house fag.

the problem with these non-conformists is that they are all the same.

I agree with that statement. I'm into some 'emo' type music, but I don't feel the need to look or dress a certain way. I used to be into the Dead and smoke alot of grass, but I've never looked or acted like a hippie (excep that one Halloween because I didn't have a real costume). But the conforming act, is a ripple effect. You like the same stuff as your friends, and so you hang out, and you go shopping together, and you end up buying the same type of things, and so forth and so on.

I'm still trying to figure out what happened to p0ink that has him so riled up against emo kids.

dear god, please let a straight edge emo kid break in my house so i can kill them legally...if not, could you atleast send a raver? that too would be nice. and oh yeah, and please kill every person over 400lbs. amen

You forgot to mention their scarves.

What's wrong with straight edge?

I just don't get why it's cool to dye your hair black, wear horn-rimmed glasses, and particularly, wear gas station uniforms. I used to have no real hatred or love of this fashion trend, and maybe even bought into the romaticism of labor until I worked at a gas station for two years. There is nothing glamorous or particularly desirable about being a grease monkey. It's just hard work. And most of these kids have no idea what hard work means, unless it's staying up all night on a caffeine jag writing a paper about existential philosophy.

For the record, I like "emo-core" music, Fugazi and Minor Threat get me pumped as hell, but I'm not particularly fond of the "scene" that goes with it. Kids are just too self-important. And for what????

I wouldn't say Minor Threat is emo, but rather hardcore (punk).

I think he was referring to stuff like Saves the Day, Dashboard Confessional, etc...

Minor Threat was emo-core before the term even existed! If you listen to the lyrics the singer is being a whiny bitch but he does it with so much anger that it's cool!
