Wow...you look wonderful! It's great to see pictures of you skating...you must really enjoy the sport. Good luck competing! I luv the little tatoo too, it's cute!
Yeah, I'm used to that though. 99% of people think ICE when I tell them I'm a speed skater. It's just cause inline skating isn't as well known, yet. It's gonna be an Olympic sport in 2008 so hopefully that'll change. I'd like to see it get to the point where if I say I speed skate, people will actually ask me if it's inlines or ice instead of assuming ice. But a few of the olympic speed skaters DID get their start on inlines. Derek Parra was an inline skater who trained here in Dover with Virgil Dooley who used to be the inline speed skating coach for the Dover team. Virgil no longer coaches but I've talked to him quite a few times and he lets me do drill work in his rink (which is 10min from my house). Also, Derek used to train outdoors along the same road that I'm currently skating on! Pretty cool.

Thanks. Yeah, I really love speed skating. I want to go as far as I can in the sport. I'd like to get to the point where the sponsors notice me and start coming to me!
That's the tequila worm, lol, eh, it looks like it anyway. Either that or it also reminds me of that little inch worm on the Looney Tune cartoons, the one that chicken hawk is always trying to catch, LMAO! I love those Looney Tune cartoons, they're a classic!
Yep, what spatts said. I don't do a lot of long distance work. Since I'm mainly an indoor skater, it's mostly sprinting. Outdoor skating is much longer. I do some of that too but not near as much as indoor sprinting. The other factor I would say with my not losing muscle with all the cardio is just genetics. I just seem to be one of those people who can do cardio out the ying yang and not lose any muscle over it. Cause I've done a lot more cardio in the past and never lost a pound. And, even in basic training with all the running I did, I actually GAINED weight instead of lost. Keeping muscle doesn't seem to be a problem for me as much as losing fat is. Diet seems to be the only way for me to get leaner.

I was wondering where you were hiding! Hadn't heard from you FOREVER!
Yeah, well I don't get on yahoo messenger anymore since we closed our supplement store down (long story). So I'm mainly just on bb boards now when I get time.
