Eggs vs Milk

Ok i am currently using Syntrax Nectar whey protein and i put organic whole raw eggs in the shake.

Now this is certainly efficient for wasting money at $35 / 2 pound tub of protein ( Vitamin Shoppe ) and $4 for a dozen eggs ( Whole Foods ) but is this smart ?

I mean i am overpaying for protein because it is so pure ( microfiltered ) and at the same time i buy whole eggs for their wholesome raw fat. now this doesn't make sense - why am i doing this ? i don't get it.

I was thinking about how i can save money. Perhaps i can switch to a cheaper protein that has some fat in it, and in turn remove the fat from the eggs by using egg whites instead of whole eggs ? but is milk fat inferior to yolk ?

Problem is egg whites seem to be actually more expensive than the eggs that they came from. I mean Whole Foods charges 5 dollars for the amount of egg whites that you would get out of one dozen eggs, which is sold right next to it for 2 dollars.

Lose-Lose situation ? I don't want to separate the whites myself because i don't want to waste the yolks - something about that i find morally wrong ( like eating babies or something ).

Oh and the reason i want animal fat at all is because i was recently on some "PALEO" diet forums and they all rave about how about half your calories should come from animal fat. now i know they are idiots but i figured if i had at least SOME calories come from animal fat in my diet that would probably make it more balanced.

because my diet is pretty much vegan except for the said whey / egg shakes. basically i eat only raw food, so i can't use meat or fish because they need to be cooked.

Anybody has any ideas for my dilemma ?
