Eggs: Serious question here.

Another reason that your eggs could be mushy is because the shells are cracking while they are cooking. Try to have a pot big enough that they are not bumping each other.

I only cook 6 at a time cause I don't like to store them in the fridge, so it's not over crowding, I think they are just old from the store, bad.

could be. You want to hard boil eggs that are a few days old, actually, but not past the expiration date on the carton and of course not floaters...lol. After they are a few days old, you boil em and they are easier to peel than the super-fresh ones because they are more alkaline and there is more of a pocket of air on the inside.

Gosh, I'm an egg geek...lol.

That means your eggs are bad. ugh.

If you put a raw egg in water, it should sink to the bottom. If it floats, throw it away. The gasses have started forming on the inside from it being old and is making the egg float. Throw out any floaters.

....and if you're still not sure, or think you've gotten the two mixed up, kids, just think of what a dead body does! lol :)

...which as a result is what you'll immediately say about that bad egg prior to throwing it away! :cornholio

Never underestimate the power of visualization.
