here's the deal- till now i have been eating 5 whole eggs a day. i have never eaten just the whites. my question is what do u guys do with the egg yolks. i know that's an odd question- but i was really curious.
I've gone through ifferent phases of egg handling. For a while when i was doing CKD, I'd scramble them, yolks and all. Then I was just boiling up like 2 dozen a day and eating the whites. Now i haven't touched eggs in a while.
ok- y i posted this is that at present i am eating 5 eggs with yolks. is that too many yolks? and yes- yolks in trash cans are STINKY! so how do i get rid of them?! i have a cat but there's no way i'd give him more than 2 yolks a day!
i definitely want to eat more than 5 ED- maybe 10-12. there's so much cheap protein to be had from eggs that it just has to be an important part of my diet.
Woooo cat...don't go overboard....5 is PLENTY....probably too much......better sources of protein out there with less fat and cholesterol......2-3 is solid.....I use one and 10 whites every morning.....
Holy shit I never post on this board but I think I'm in love!
Daisy_Girl: posting pictures like the one in your avatar should be banned, I swear it leaves me breathless!
Anyway, egg yolks aren't bad. A whole egg has 7-8 grams of protein and 5 grams of fat, BUT read the nutritional info and you will see that only 1.5 of it is saturated fat.
well if you weigh more than a jockey, chances are you're going to be eating near 8 at a time... the debate is more relating to blood serum chol. levels due to dietary cholesterol intake.
