please go to the closest library and check out a few credible nutrition books. do not use nutritional advice from a bodybuilding magazine/menshealth magazine. . knowledge is power
I agree with Lanky...read up on as much nutrition info as you can, dont' just take some half-ass written column out of a muscle mag and believe it. chicken is good for protein and carbs. Eat up.
I visited Mr. Cahlings website. I did not see any credentials that would make him a reliable source in the nutrition/healthcare field...Im sure there are articles in credible journals( ie journal of nutritional biochemistry, exercise physiology..etc..) regarding cellular response in relation to exercise in vegetarian populations...,,again highly variable in what an individual self reports as being a vegetarian.. so many variables come into play.. Many local colleges high schools, and countys and province librarys have access to these credible journals on databases such as Ebscohost etc..its an amazing educational tool. You seen to have a healthy interest in your nutrition..
