Cutting right now, and wanted to know if I could snack on these between meals. I have heard that they are healthy and good to eat, but after reading the label it seems like they have a ton of fat. Here's the break-down.

Serving size 1oz (39 pieces)

Total fat: 14g
Saturated 2g
Trans fat og
Polyunsaturated 4g
monounsaturated 7g

Total Carbs: 5g (net 3 grams)
Fiber 2g
sugar 2g

Protein 8g

Choloesterol: 0mg

Sodium: 190mg

Potassium: 190mg

While I don't really snack between meals, I have been known to substitute the odd meal with Peanut butter by the spoonful and a Protein shake...

Anyway, moderation is the key, the fat in Peanut is OK, as long as you keep your daily totals in check: remember everything you put down your pipe counts...

Having said that, some people here will take a handfull with cottage cheese before sleep to slow protein digestion...

OK now, where all the peanut-munching experts???

Peanuts have really healthy fat and if it fits into your calorie limits for the day then you are fine.

However, this is why I am against peanuts when cutting. They are addictive and at least I can never stay within a serving size on them. I'll polish off the entire contrainer easy :)

Happens to me with almonds and macadamia (the worst) nuts as well.

Funny you made a thread about this, I'm eating Planters Dry Roasted Lightly Salted Peanuts right now. Amazing. I don't see a problem with eating them sparingly while cutting.

Meal 6 1 cup 1% cottage cheese 2 Tbsp. anpb
Meal 4 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese 6oz. danon fit n light yogurt and 1 oz. almonds

Yummy and the fat just keeps on coming off.
I'm getting my bf tested this monday and I'll let you all know how everything comes back.
It's been 3 weeks at least so the results will definitely tell me what is going on and if I need to tweak anything but I must tell you the mirror has had good things to say. :chomp:

Peanuts keep me sane...........I eat about 5-6 large LARGE handfulls right before bed every single night.........granted they have the sheels on, so it's maybe 2-3 handulls of nuts, but nonetheless....great food,.......cc, casein shake, and peanuts..........my savor.
