Drinking raw eggs?

I have been drinking raw eggs for about a year just because it is a lot easier to consume them that way. No problems so far but is there anything wrong with this?

i've been doing the same for a few months. Haven't had a problem yet. I believe its something like 1 in 30,000 chance of getting a bad egg. Nelson usually has something to say on the subject.

I've read some posts in the diet forum saying like raw eggs are only about 50% digestable or something. But when you cook an egg half of the protein is denatured. Don't know what to make of that.

Raw eggs are the way to go! You can only catch salmonella from the OUTSIDE of the egg shell, where it contacts the actual chicken (filthy animals by the way). The egg itself is pretty much sterile (think about it...if there was bacteria swimming in it, there would be serious developmental problems and therefore could never develop into what we know as chickens). Rinse off the outside before cracking them and drink away my friend.

Actually, I don't think the chances are that good.

You'll be fine. I do it all the time. You more likely to get bad food at a restaurant. Trust me.

Worst case scenario you get a case of the runs.

i inject them

Buy protein power. 1 large raw egg only contains 6gm of protein & 79 Calories. The yolk is mainly fat. the white is 3.5 gms protein & 16 calories. You have to eat about 12 eggs to get the same protein from a good quality powder in trim milk.

I mix the raw eggs right in with my protein. Cant even taste them, goes down so smooth!!!!!!!! I have never had a problem with anything.

The only drawback may be hunger levels. I know a liquid doesn't fill me up nearly as well as a solid.

Whenever I make smoothies, you bet your ass i add raw eggs though.

Make sure you use whites from real, hand cracked eggs. steer clear from the pastuerized stuff, the more natural the better your body can utilize the nutrients

Well, out side of the fact that guzzling raw eggs it's like drinking a jizzload of whale cum, they're actually very anabolic.

Rhea Blair was the first man to realize that the amino acid content of the egg is closer to human mothers milk than milk from cows.

This is why I added WHOLE egg to the BIG BLAST formula. That's the key. Egg whites are only a part of the formula. That combined with the plasma protein makes it like nothing else on the market. Frankly, I'm surprised no one has copied it yet, but most supp manufacturers don't even understand the principles involved. But I'm sure they'll be a knock off soon enough.

Only sick chickens lay salmonella poisoned eggs. As long as your buying high quality, cage free, chicken eggs, I wouldnt worry about it. It doesnt happen as often as people might think either.

I think the argument is with the cooking process. It has something to do with a protein that gets lost when the egg is cooked. Cant remember the name of it offhand.. sorry

Nelson i remember reading somewhere that the Eggs uncooked have potentially less protein then when they are cooked is this true?

Uncooked has LESS protein? Because of digestability? Doubtful, at least to any considerable extent. Cooking denatures the protein making it less pure, hence the reason behind eating raw eggs. Dehydrated eggs circumvent this without denaturing the protein.

How can you guys eat raw eggs plain???

I tried this one time because I was pressed for time and literally could not do it. I drank probably 3/4 of 1 egg and barfed inside of my mouth.

little bit of milk and it actually doesnt taste to bad

Allright, I am going to give this a shot.

Just cook them when ever you have the chance, if your in a rush to get to work go nuts and drink, but cook when you have the time.

Do you guys drink the egg with the yolk too?
I've tried the white part but the yolk is disgusting, I don't even eat the yolk when I cook eggs.

I'm actually about to try this right now. I just got back from work and an shake sounds like the perfect fix for the ridiculous night.

1 raw egg
1 scoop whey protein
1 Tbsp ANPB
1 cup skim milk

I don't count calories =/

I've been training over 20 years, waaaay before any whey proteins or MRP's were even heard of.

Raw eggs were just a staple back then with some milo or honey or pineapple juice or yoghurt or anything you felt like throwing in.

I still prefer them although i do add a spoonful of whey now and i have never got sick FROM them or OF them.

If they sit good in your stomach then there shouldn't be any reason not to have them.

You do open a can of worms when bringing up the subject of raw eggs though!!!!! :qt:
