DOMS, when do you get it?

heres some background info, i'm using this counterpolarized routine right now, which is mass gaining lifts, deads and stuff at the begining of the week, then at the end of the week its more bodybuilding excersises to get the separation going.
its a 6 day split 6 on 1 off. first three days is shoulders chest back bis tris, legs,(seperate days of course) power lifting moves, then the last 3 days is body building, iso metric stuff, leg extensions etc....
here is my question, i have been just getting back into training, and have been going for about 5 months now, with different routines, but as i've progressed i've noticed that at the begining of my training, i was sore for days after training, which i know is common, but now i'm like sore right after training for about 45 mintues, then i'm good to go again.
I miss being sore the next day, what the hell is wrong with me?
I have changed up my routine 3 times now, and the one mentioned above is what i'm currently doing.
I know that people get doms at different times, but is it common to get it almost immediately after your done training?

i get sore after i train a muscle/lift that i haven't trained in a while

From what i have read, Delayed Onset of Muscle Soreness is a good thing. If you are getting sore 2 or 3 days after that is a good sign. I think i have also read that if you get sore right after, its a sign that you are straining the muscle too hard.

Anyway, i am generally fine the next day, sore the day after that. From what i read, this is a good thing, and i am happy about it.

Mine is at its worst between 24 and 48 hours after training. I have been sore for 8 years. High intense training always makes you sore. I can no longer feel the pain. . . my nerve endings are shot to hell.

but it goes away, i really dont think i'm straining my muscles, cause i've had lots of performance increase, I have read the same article as you, thats what lead me to post this question.
This is strange and is bugging the hell outta me.

doms is not immediate muscle soreness, (same day).

doms is usually felt with alot of eccentric work, or an movement or workload you are unaccustomed to.
