It wouldn't be seized, but if it's leaking (broken vial) or has contents coming out (tabs, powder) you can guaruntee that you will not get it. Once they open it and see what it is, they will give it to the Postal Inspector and from there any number of things can happen. Bottom line, if your domestic is a shitty packer, you are going to lose.

...NOTHING is fullproof...Obviously it is not 100% guaranteed. I think my question was more pointed at whether a package could be intercepted if it is packed how it should be. I was more curious about the process(ie if domestic packages are run through scanners or xray machines). I assume that a 99% rate of success can be obtained if packed in a manner that avoids suspicion and so that none of its contents are spilled. 
Hey what you really gotta worry about is there xray machine. Use carbon to block out the x-rays.

Ive had 2 packages seized domestic and lost all the gear and I doubt they were leaking.
