Check out animals board under the law of Dogg Crapp and Iron
Warrior, sorry dont know how to give a link... anyway he concedes that some may overtrain with the original schedule
so he recommends that for some a Mon Wed Fri Mon schedule
may be better this means I assume you train the whole body
twice every 9 days...its kinda confusing but it should look
like this

Mon chest tricep shoulders
Wed Back biceps
Fri legs
Mon repeat last Mondays workout

If Im wrong please let me know but I thought it was info
worth passing on

Doggcrapp:: NO thats not correct at all---its monday wenesday friday and monday again---the first day is

chest
shoulders
triceps
back width
back thickness

and the second day is

bis
forearms
calves
hams
quads

I used to have people train twice every 7 days but I noticed on the internet some people got burnt quickly on that so i start people out training bodyparts twice every 8 days (Not much of a difference there rush)

I hit everything every 3days, works for me. :)

With a good amount of gear, many people can get away with hitting everything eod and getting good results IMO.

I am wondering what the mental strength of some of these people is like after training with super high intensity all the time.

I know that I can not push 100 percent every workout like that...I get mentally burned out... I can for short periods of time though...

These posts crack me up.

Have you read the whole DC thread on this board? If you had, you would realize that it is possible to overtrain on DC depending on your recovery rate. Its possible to overtrain on any workout routine. Just like DC said that the static holds and/or rest pauses might not be the best for "you" and even mentioned not using them until you were sure that you could recover from them.

No program is the perfect program. I think we have already established that. Everything is on an individual basis and you have to find what works for you. Some peple doing DC might only be able to work a body part 1 time per week, while the other end of the spectrum might be able to up it to 2 times per 7 days.

Honestly I am getting tired of reading posts like this where someone wants to flame a workout program because they think they found the "flaw" in it. I dont believe I have ever read where DC said that there is no way in hell that anyone could ever overtrain on this program. There are many ways to overtrain. A lack of a good diet can cause you to overtrain.

All I know is that since I started DC I have made some good gains. I have modified the program a little to suit me, just like I have any program I have worked with.

He just suggests changing the frequency of workouts to meet your body's needs.

I also think there is a cruise week every two months to keep from overtraining and burning out. I could be wrong though.

He asked about how mental strength was impacted by prolonged high intensity work.

It is pretty tough for me...
I used to multiple-set train for years, but then I realized that HIT- DC-like training is really for me.
My only dilemma is forcing myself to slow down and keep very controlled repetitions with focus on the negative.
This is a problem for me in general: learning to slow down in life and enjoy more.

Another aspect is is that I do not easily overtrain. I have a very athletic build and my body responds both quickly and efficiently to exercise and the DC training routine, without any supplements.
