does massage therapy promote muscle growth?

a good massage always gets my muscle to grow. - make sure you go with the happy ending so it doesnt grow for nothing. LOL..

haha damn straight

When you get a massage it loosens the muscle and gets blood flowing to wherever you massaged. So yes your muscles will grow faster and you'll recover quicker.

I get ART about twice a week and I get a regular massage once a week.

If you have the money, go for it, it really does make a difference.

I read somewhere that both Ronnie and Jay get deep tissue massages twice a week. Supposedly it stretches the muscle fascia to allow for new muscle growth.

I agree, i believe it aids muscle recovery and growth.

Stretching is also vital in my opinion, keeping as supple as possible helps prevent injury and helps maintain youthful athleticism.

i know it increases blood flow so i was just curious

Yes it does. A vigorous massage slightly tears muscle fibers the same way weight lifting does, and growth occurs in the regeneration process. That's why you should also STRETCH!!. Deep stretching for 60 seconds per muscle group works wonders. Your elongating and tearing the muscle fibers and stimulating new growth.

Amen to the ART brother, worked miracles on my shoulder, you have to get it done several times, but it gets the knots out and lets the fucker track right.
