Does anyone believe in the Loch Ness Monster?

If so... what is it?

If not... then what was photographed underwater and in the lake?

Some guy admitted to faking the most famous picture of the monster. He floated a log around and took that pic. Same with Bigfoot. Damn, cant we have any legit old skool monsters? How bout Chupacabra? That is my fav. My theory is that Chupacabra is an aliens pet that got loose- like a dog on the loose except he eats goat blood and chicken blood instead of doggy bones.

Actually the loch ness is my goldfish i flushed after i discovered it ate my Dbol........RADAR

I would like to believe it, but more and more evidence seems to point that the lake is empty. But I still watch the documentaries in hope.... :)

are you talking about the video footage of big foot walking? i never heard that one was a fake.

as for ness: they did a special on tlc or one of those networks like it. they showed how easy it was to misinterpret naturally occuring events in the loc.. they showed some footage of the wakes from two boats crossing that looked exactly like some serpent surfacing and diving back down. they also showed a bunch of naturally occuring illusions that the lake can produce. it all has to do with the peat moss. so to answer the question; no, i do not believe in nessie; based on the tlc show and the scientific fact that a creature that size could not survive in that habitat.. i really wish it did exist though, im a fan of cryptozoology.

I don´t because:

A species to survive needs more than one.
Big beasts need a lot of food.
Several big beasts need even more.

I doubt that there is enough fish in Loch Ness, even if it´s quite big, to sustain a whole species of big beasts.

Yeah the film of the Big Foot is BS. They guy who filmed it admitted that it was just his buddy in a gorilla suit- pretty funny eh?

Yeah, I saw that same show. It was on the History channel program "strange but true?". The underwater photos were bullshit too because the camera the guy had mounted came apart and was just floating around in the water. One of the underwater pictures was a tree stump on the bottom of the ocean. The other was the bottom of the guys boat.

The famous Loch Ness picture was also a fake. For 60 years the picture has been attributed to Colonel Robert Wilson, a Harley Street gynaecologist who had claimed to see something in the water. In the end the monster turned out to be a toy submarine fitted with a head and neck made from plastic wood, The monster in the photo is, in fact, a foot tall and a foot and a half long.

Ok, what about the huge hump that you see in the lake with the wake coming behing it? You have an indication of it's size because that old castle is in the fore ground.

Its waves in the water. It's just an illusion.

There was an hour show about in on the history channel. I bet you could find a transcript of it on yahoo or something.

I saw that as well.....

I think people who want to believe in something, will find a way to see it---thus, illusions...

Naw... this can not be a wave because the wake is actually parting around the object. It is a mass object. Just don't know what.

Send it to me, then I will know which one you are referring to.

if only we could get somebody to admit to making up that jesus thing life would be good.

The first picture in that series is the plastic "monster" that was built for the hoax. The second and third are waves on the lake. (which, if you saw the episode you would see how they form and how they create the illusion of something swimming)

And the final pics on that page are the camera that became dislodged from its mounting point and shot the bottom of the lake and the bottom of the guys boat, which was also proved on the history channel show.

As far as believing in sea creatures, I do. But in the ocean mainly, not in lakes. The Oceans are huge and there has to be something down there! :)

One thing I've always wondered about is crop circles.

In typical Joe Dirt fashion, my kid is going to drop out of school at age 10 to watch the camera at Loch Ness 24/7. He figures if he's the one to see it, it'll be worth a million to the Enquirer. Well, atleast he has a sense of humor at 10.

Ok, this is pretty big and pretty solid to be a wave. I mean, there is mass in this shot. Look at the size of this "wave" in relation to the castle.

The three humps could have been barrels tied together. I believe the football thing could be real as well. But this is a HUGE object to haul in the water and tow along to create a swimming effect.

Its a wave. Trust me.

Go on yahoo and look up the history channel show "strange but true?" They talked about that exact same picture and proved it was a wave.

making up Jesus...hahah. That would be a good one: "Today it was discovered that Jesus was a big hoax- return to your spending". lol. Hey I have been trying to get some pics of the secret creature Jennifer_BFL_Chick and I can never find any- I am not a platinum member so someone help me out over here! She is too cute for me to have no pics of her!:p

AFAIK Loch Ness has an outlet into the sea fairly deep down. But although I live in Scotland it's been 15 years since I last visited it. The "nessie" buttons are cool though. Loch Ness is plenty nice for a boat trip with no monster in sight.
