Does air in a basketball feel like it`s in jail?

It never gets out really, never "escapes". What about a balloon? Is that air on probation or out on bail after about an hour or two, maybe a few days max?

Car tires seem to have a lot of escapees. Either that, or they just keep revolving them due to overcrowding. The system sucks.
