I'm not talking about recording your entire workout. I have a miniature cell phone sized HD camcorder that's capable of about 2 hrs. recording time. I have started using it to record a few sets of bench presses or squats every 3 weeks or so to track my progress. The camera fits in the pocket of my shorts and sets up on a miniature tripod that I set up on a metal locker room stool that my gym keeps in the weight room. I like being able to watch myself train to check my form on top of having a record of what I lifted at a certain time point.

Plus is has an added benefit in that I can record the swinging dicks in the locker room...OOPS, did I say that? :rainbow:

lol, I used to quite alot to get form checks but deleted most of my videos from my youtube accounts. But yeah its def easier to see your form and technique when watching it back on video, its just awkward trying to set it up and you get alot of people looking at you lol, but with a tripod like that it would be such a problem

Yeah...you did say that:eek2: Lol I like recording my workouts too and I put them in my fitness log and I did a competition on here a little ways back.

I record my lifts most of the time. It help me critique my form. Plus, it allows me to visualize the lift which pays off when I actually do the lift.

I'm buying a house this month with a 18 x 14 studio where I plan to have some fixed cameras set up to an inexpensive computer out there. Should be awesome! Now only if my lifting was as good as the setup...

The tripod collapses to about 5 inches in height and my camera is about the size of a credit card so I can record somewhat discretely.

I video near everything I do.

no i dont becuase ive seen little 16 year old kids in my gym do it and they look like wankers, coz they think their big and there filming themselves doinf bicep curls while trying to avoid sweating and getting there hairstyle messed up

if i was to make a video id make sure no one was around becuase it does seem to make you look like ur full of urself

however if ur trying to video yourself make a really big lift i dont see a problem with it

if your videoing yourself coz u wanna see what you look like pumped up then get over urself, unless ur goign to be competeing as bodybuilder at a descent level i dotn see why u should be videoing urself topless, or urself doing a curl

Yeah I always feel a little embarrsed videoing myself and someone asked me what I was doing and I said I was videoing my lifts for form and she said "Oh I thought it was an ego thing" lol! I took one video of doing curls but it was a joke lol!

Fuck it...I don't care what people think...I do this for me and improving myself is more important to me than how others view me. I've been recording my lifts since I was Deadlifting 135. The last thing I care about is how some other chump in the gym is going to regard me.
