bigsteve, i wasnt really replying to the original post, (feeling overly confident). I totally understand what you mean by that. I was just talking about small people who think they should be on the olympia stage(sorry i didnt clarify that earlier)...who have the tough guy attitudes. I guess there are too many walking around my gym, and it makes me pretty mad.

pats fan, if a muscular 300lb guy walked by me, i would most definitely be humbled. I guess youre just a really big guy or something...

Guys like coleman dont need to be cocky. they are already bigger than everyone else, and have nothing to prove. i didnt know ronnie coleman was that cocky.

its great to have confidence, get pumped up, and feel all big. i guess i got kinda heated once i read this. it made me think of all the clowns at my gym......................

my bad on the mixup

I'm not a really big guy! But I would never be intimidated by anyone at the gym or be "hummbled". I'm there for me, I don't give 2 fucks who's there or what they're doing. If a 300lb Cutler walks by me, so what, so they're big, that means I can't be cocky...hell no!!!

Kurt, I was on the same page as you the whole time, I just wouldn't be "hummbled" by anyone at the gym!!!

not towards other people, but towards yourself? I had such an amzing workout last night, when i finished my last set I just wanted to yell "and thats how it's done" I felt so good about myself, i felt i could do absolutely anything, on top of the world...in a cocky kinda way. Ever since my weights have been going up ive been feeling this way. Anyone else get this?

I feel that way when my weights are going up too. Not really cocky, but just extreme satisfaction that I had the mental fortitude and physical strength to do something I've never done before.

After a PR in the squat or deadlift, I feel like a Wolf that has just made a kill, with my prey's blood still hot on my lips, and my eyes still glazed from the adrenalin-induced battle psychosis.

Is that cocky?
