Do you believe in/practise the "law of attraction"?

Yooo

One thing I really like about most people who train is how driven and ambitious they usually are. You get the odd stain who thinks they're too cool for school etc but most the time people who bodybuild are very positive and driven people.

I'm sure you would've heard of the documentary called "the secret" at some stage, about the "law of attraction" the whole "thoughts become things" shit, positive thinking etc.. Personally I found the documentary to be quite contrived. It focussed on the material pretentious side of things.. And the intro and sketches throughout are corny. But I guess they had to try and get through to people and people will respond to "do you want to be rich and have the car of your dreams?!" With that said the underlying message is very spot on.

When I first watched The Secret I was blown away by it. I wanted to learn more about the law of attraction and spent a good few years doing just that.

This was in a time where I still lived at my parents place and I was living off the government. I have always been a generally positive person but I was always cruising, and never really chased my passion with guns blazing

Anyway after really learning about the law of attraction I started putting it into play.. I had about 15-20 BIG goals that I wanted to achieve. I wrote all of them down on a very large piece of paper, every night I would spend about an hour just visualising having all those goals, visualising but at the same Time believing that I already had them and feeling grateful for it.. Those who also do this will understand that when you do this you feel this rush over your whole body like you're on drugs. People underestimate the power of BELIEF. I truly believe you can do whatever the fuck you want if you actually believe you can do it..

At this time my parents were quite pushy for me to get a job and move out of the house, and I sat them down and said to them that I was going to be the best and biggest at what I do, just please give me a few years. I was so confident in what I believed in that it was an option to fail.. Anyways I'm lucky my parents really supported me in chasing something I was passionate about

In a few years it all happened, every single goal I had written down had come to life (and then some). Even the biggest, craziest shit came true. My parents were besides themselves because I literally predicted it all, they think I can predict the future now

I live by that shit to this day. I like to surround myself around people who are also driven and believe in themselves..

I always find bodybuilders are usually all about this shit

Id love to know your stories!

You believe in the laws of dick, faggot.

Hey fella, cool post. Had to reply [emoji109]🏼

So, I used to get worried about the kind of world we live in, I'm from a place where people think they have something to prove by being a fucktard and stabbing people to show they're bad! I know right, go figure.
I have a little girl now, and ever since she was born I got worried and thought, "What if something happened, and I couldn't protect her?" So I made a decision to get fit and learn a marital art. After a little time, countless hours Muay Thai, and hitting it super hard in the gym, I'm now a lot more positive that I can protect myself, my missus and child; if something were to happen. Also, I learned that 99.9% of all the people who have left negative comments on here could do the same, if not more given their change of perspective.
They say anyone can do anything, I truly believe that, but they have to want to.

Below I thought I'd share a picture of my progress. [emoji12] Was a pleasure reading your post bro [emoji109]🏼 #OneLove

Nice fucking hair faggot

I think it has a valid premise. However it doesn't really matter what it is, if you believe in something, it becomes real to you. This might happen to the point of skewing your reality to conform or affirm your beliefs. This is why the secret is a success, it works only if you believe.

If it is doing you good and not harming others, then its a good thing to ultimately have in your life and maintaining such beliefs would be harmless.

I do and know that the force of the brain is not just within our bodies but also put out a projections as well as picks things up.. so yes i do. I did before i even watched that movie, but i have seen it, worth a watch IMO

honestly law of attraction has completely changed my life and my fathers. Reality is perception, therefor you can create your own. I went from being an alcoholic to being sober for 5 years, made a comeback to pro baseball after 6 elbow surgeries and 2 tommy john surgeries. Passed an employment exam with Exxon Mobil and am almost to the point where I can almost purchase my dream car ( 66 chevelle as with a nelsonracing 632 blown bbc on e85 )

As for my father, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. A cancer of blood and bone. Incurable. Was on the verge of stage 4 . When I showed him the law of attraction and some things on consciousness and reality. After stem cell transplant and almost 5 years ago, and countless times of coming back all his counts are with in normal range he is in remission and have started gaining back weight.

I believe it is the real deal as you can create your own reality. It's how we Interpret the electrical impulses to the brain with information from particles. Basically speaking we really can do anything we put our minds to as nothing is impossible.

Just my opinion

^^^super cool! I'm curious about the stuff on consciousness you referred to? What specifically? You can pm me if that's better ...tyia

i can't imagine being in my garage, wrenching on a car like that without a couple/few ice cold beers...one just kinda goes with the other.

just my opinion.

Driven is another word for obsessive. Bodybuilding is no more a sport, art form, lifestyle than any eating disorder. Just look at the typical bodybuilding lifecycle. Guys pump away, day and night, seldom developing anything else in their life besides their muscles. It's kinda sad. I know this forum is stock full of guys with 200 IQs, 250k incomes, turgid penises, 1.5% bf, vast art collections a wall full of accreditations, etc. Not talking about you guys. So don't bother trolling.
