DNP trial date postponed

i feel very confident he has a very good chance at coming out of this ok. what the hell are the mail fraud charges based on?

I'm getting so sick and tired of people blaming others for their own stupidity. No one can take responsibility for their actions while common sense has become a rarity... bad combo.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the guru... who had no intention of harming anyone, and helped so many.

When you mail a package they ask, "Are you mailing anything liquid, fragile, hazardous , or perishable?" I assume they're getting him for the hazardous part. Dunno.

i just read a stat that says the US attorney's office has a 95% conviction rate for cases that go to trial. i wonder how much this has to do with the different jury selection system between fed and state cases...

i think in this case the feds got more than they bargained for though. dnp legality is hard to dispute and even the sale of it is a very grey area...

actually when the guy encapsulated it and put the caps into another container, this satisfied federal shipping regulations of hazardous pesticides, so that's probably not where the mail fraud stemmed from. the mail fraud is assuming dnp is illegal in the first place (which it's not, but maybe the attorney isn't too unfamiliar with the case). shipping illegal substances through the mail makes it mail fraud. the mail fraud is probably not something they are realistically hoping to get on him otherwise they wouldn't have waited 8 months to file these charges. they're probably just buying more time to try to get enough evidence on him to convict him once they realized dnp is actually legal lol.
