Disturbing! Girls' use of steroids to tone on the increase

What I heard is that CNN blew the whole thing WAY OUT OF porportion. What happened is that they had an online survey and I guess some 9 year old and 14 year old girl answere YES to using steroids. We know where things went from there. I doubt that those girls who did the survey know anything about steroids. Its just anotother mass media shit bomb!

(this was Aries13 that replied....I was logged in under my boyfriends name on accident...and he was the one who told me about this. I guess they had a discussion in the men's forum)

I think the media is just riding the shock value of the silliness w/ the Natl Baseball League. It still annoys the crap out of me that they don't bother carrying the thought out to something that is actually constructive, like, uh, EAT LIKE A NORMAL PERSON, GET OFF YOUR ASS AND EXERCISE!

I have to agree with you Sassy...Is it just me or can anyone else relate to the fact that when I was 9-14 years old, the word STEROIDS did not ring a bell to me. I had no clue what that was. I assume that there ARE girls who do steroids who are young but where are they getting money for it in the first place>?? This is so fucking dumb...and the whole thing is ridiculous. Like sassy said, the media should stop wasting our time and focus more on important things like eating healthy and healthy!!!

I'm surprised that a 9yr old girl would even know about steroids and what they are used for. I never heard of a steroid @ 9 yrs old! That is so crazy. I only knew about the glue thing too. Children today aren't able to be children today, they have no chance to go through the innocent stage. They bipass youth and mature to adulthood without taking a breath. It's only going to get worse. This really is sad.
